Summary

Warehouse Associate is a key component to our warehouse operation's efficiency and inventory management. Warehouse Associate will be responsible for verifying internal transfer orders and outbound shipments, receiving inbound loads, processing warehouse picks, and assisting with inventory discrepancies. This person must be a team player with the ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift, focus on critical measurements, and communicate with team members across departments to successfully maintain accurate inventories. This position relies heavily on strong communication and teamwork with all shifts of production, sales, and warehouse departments.

Responsibilities

Warehouse organization

  • Warehouse is organized according to company layout.
  • Ensure that warehouse is 100% clean before Monday morning (trash out/ cardboard in recycling/floor swept/etc).
  • Ensure that scrap materials are sold/donated/discarded.
Procurement
  • Setting Parts/Materials minimum/reorder levels.
  • Ensure that commonly used parts and materials are available consistently reducing the need for last-minute trips or expedited shipping to gather materials.
  • Ensure that staff is prepared with materials for varying job sites.
  • Warehouse Supply Purchasing: Ensure that all items needed for the warehouse are in stock and ready for use.
Receiving / Staging / Shipping of materials
  • Merchandise purchased through vendors for projects/service calls in database.
  • Work with Project Manager to forecast, plan and coordinate the movement of Inventory for Projects and Service Calls.
  • Picking of products for upcoming projects/service calls to ensure timely and accurate dispatching of staff.
  • Shipping of Products through inventory workflow for projects and service calls.
  • Shipping of RMA merchandise back to vendors.
Liaising with staff, suppliers and transport companies
  • Ability to communicate inventory status for upcoming jobs from information in internal company database.
  • Contact with vendors to keep up-to-date on the status of shipment, and tracking information.
  • Set-up Shipments - LTL and Common Carrier to vendors, clients and other branches.
  • Work with PM/Sales with any questions regarding inventory purchasing / returning / Change orders, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum of high school diploma.
  • Professional appearance with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Possess strong organization skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and tasks assigned at the same time.

Job Summary

  • Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is also preferred.

    • possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle and a current medical certification may be required.
  • PC working knowledge for Windows, Internet, email and SAP software is a plus.

**Responsibilities & Qualifications** **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Work with local warehouse staff on moving palletized equipment & gaining empty pallets + Work with local warehouse staff on removing trash and keeping workspace clean + Follow on site staff safety & technical direction + Scan received equipment & validate quantities vs expected equipment + Unpallet & unbox equipment + Assemble network equipment & boxes per part list provided + Power on and perform provided steps on network switches via console connection + Once validated + Power down equipment + Rebox in full (all items that need to be added to the box) + Repalletize equipment according to direction + Repacking of IT equipment for shipment to customer sites + Follow safety regulations + Keep warehouse clean and organized + Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors + Report issues with IT equipment and shipments to onsite management / POC. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + HS Diploma or equivalent + Logistics experience and/or network experience a bonus + Able to lift up to 50lbs **Overview** We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Springfield VA.
