Shipping and Receiving Specialist | $20-24/hr Temp to Hire | Glen Mills, PA (onsite) FullTime, 8AM-5PM

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies. This role plays a critical part in the supply chain, ensuring accuracy in inventory and timely movement of goods.

A day in the life of the Shipping and Receiving Specialist:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders
• Accurately log and label incoming items; update inventory systems as needed
• Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing materials according to company and carrier standards
• Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies in collaboration with the purchasing and inventory teams
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations

Requirements for the Shipping and Receiving Specialist:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Familiarity with shipping software (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and ERP systems is a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
• Forklift certification required

Job Summary:

Position with primary responsibility for maintaining parts warehouse.

Essential Job Functions:

• Accurately check in all incoming parts, reconcile packing lists on timely basis.
• Ship all warranty and customer parts on timely basis.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of warehouse.
• Place incoming parts in proper bin locations, customer pickup, delivery and R.O. areas.
• Maintain all UPS and shipping documents.
• Maintain vehicles and forklifts.
• Follow all safety procedures.

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.
