**Role Summary:**
As a Shipping / Receiving Clerk, you will ensure the on-time flow of goods and materials from Receiving into inventory, and from our Manufacturing to our customers. You will provide support to shipping, planning, sales and operations.
**Requirements Include:**
+ Receive and unpack shipments, check for accuracy and correctly record the shipment
+ Report problems with received goods to Inventory Control and the Buyer
+ Create, update and process paper and online shipping and receiving orders from domestic and international suppliers and customers
+ Coordinate pickups, track shipments and troubleshoot problems by contacting suppliers and shipping companies
+ Store materials on stockroom shelves and bins, keeping area clean and organized
+ Perform some stockroom tasks such as picking orders correctly and quickly, and cycle counting
+ Conduct periodic inventory reviews to ensure warehouse balances
+ Maintain organized, current paper files to ensure others can locate paperwork quickly
+ Follow detailed procedures in order, accurately and consistently
+ Other duties as assigned
**Requirements:**
+ HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
+ Basic knowledge of warehouse management
+ Related experience and/or training
+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Previous experience with the online systems of FedEx, UPS and other carriers is desired
+ Will be required to lift or push up to 50 pounds
**Preferred Experience / Skills:**
+ Forklift experience preferred (Can provide training)
+ Experience with ERP / MRP systems such as PRMS or SAP preferred

**What you'll do:**
This position will perform a wide range of skills which include unloading/loading trucks, receiving and putting away material, operating a forklift to safely retrieve parts and materials out of racks and supply them to the assembly lines and preparing product for shipment. Our Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for overseeing all daily shipping and/or receiving operations. This position will be expected to flex into the production area as needed.
+ Load and unload trucks and receive incoming material using site processes and systems.
+ Ensure material is received and distributed to assigned locations. Serve as main contact for assembly team regarding part locations.
+ Prepare product for shipment and process needed shipping paperwork. Perform inventory cycle counts.
+ Apply labels, stickers, stencils as required for identification and ease of storage or shipping.
+ Use hand tools such as: bander to secure material for shipments, impact nail guns to build crates, hammer, tape measure and other tools required to build pallets and boxes.
+ Operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, cranes and hand tools to load and unload trucks and place material in the proper location.
+ Perform quality inspections, including visual inspections of material during shipping and receiving processes, and identifying non-conformance.
+ Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.
+ Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude. Support peers in time of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.
+ Follow established oral and written procedures/work instructions for assigned function and handle materials in accordance with established procedures.
+ Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 35lbs and push or pull up to 100lbs.
+ Cross train and flex or stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. Flex into production roles as needed.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Minimum one year of previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or related work environment.
+ Previous experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Pay: Starting at $18/hr.
What will I be doing?
At Airgas, our trusted Warehouse Associates are responsible for moving material within a warehouse, while adhering to the facility work rules and while meeting or exceeding the regular productivity, quality and safety standards. The normal duties may include loading, unloading, palletizing, receiving, locating, picking and packing safety products (such as safety goggles, gloves, boots, hydrating beverages and more) or other warehouse-related tasks as assigned. These duties may be accomplished by lifting (up to 50 pounds), placing, carrying, pushing, rolling (cages, carts, or ladders), using motorized conveyors, or operating hand trucks, pallet jacks (manual or powered), forklifts, order pickers, banding tools, packaging equipment or other material handling equipment. This position reports to a warehouse lead, supervisor, or manager as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:
- Meets company productivity and quality standards.
- Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
- Stacks and arranges products.
- Wraps/packs orders for shipping.
- Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
- HS diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience
- 0-1 year warehousing or similar experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and or pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours
- Ability to read and comprehend customers' orders, bills of lading, etc.
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge or ability to learn computer software systems
- Stand-up Forklift, Sit-down Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Pallet Jack experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and work overtime as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours.

- Stage waste including all recyclable materials.
- Sweep floors and maintain a tidy work area.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Cross train and perform general warehouse duties as directed by the Manager
- Clamp truck experience preferred
