Our location in **North Chicago, IL (Lake County)** currently has an opportunity for a **Receiving Shipping Servicer** . Under direct supervision, this new team member will follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.
**Responsibilities**
+ **Shift Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 8am-5:30pm, Thursday 10am-5:30pm, Friday 11am-5:30pm**
+ Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
+ Pick order, pack, receive, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
+ Ensure proper routing of materials is maintained while transporting the materials between departments.
+ Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock and inventory records.
+ Retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries (for example on stock transfer, inventory levels or delivery schedules).
+ Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures.
+ These activities may include updating stock cards and inventory records, and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.
**Education and Experience**
**Required**
+ High School Diploma
+ Incumbent must be able to perform basic math; read; understand and make decisions based upon written operating procedures
+ Must have good hand eye coordination and general math and reasoning skills.
+ Basic computer knowledge for data input and making decisions related to inventory part, lot and quantity.
+ Experience working in a dynamic environment with frequent changes to priorities.
+ Past experience with warehouse management systems.
**Preferred**
+ Previous forklift experience and the ability to meet Abbott requirements for obtaining forklift certification.

- Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment including powered industrial lift trucks
- Unload product from trailers
- Receive product and move to correct storage location
- Receive product from outside operations and move to the next operation
- Pull, move, and issue raw material to work orders as well as move in-process work to the next operation
- Receive finished parts into storage locations
- Consolidate inventory as needed
- Cycle counting
- Move material through the waste stream of products for disposal or recycling
- Daily inspection of the material handling equipment per checklists
- Maintain/close baskets and ensure they are in proper location
- Check tools and equipment for correct operation and report any missing items, quality concerns, or equipment malfunctions
- Maintain all records of products including filing
- Communicate with team members regarding the status of incoming parts/outside processes
- Timely completion/communication of any necessary corrections
- Serve as a lead during Physical Inventory (vacation will not be allowed at this time)
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
- Follow all safety rules and expectations
- Other duties including training as assigned by management
- Work overtime to meet business needs as determined by management
