Position Overview

International is hiring experienced warehouse Material Handlers

Starting Pay: $18.50/hour

6 Months Pay Progression: $9.20/hour

12 Months Pay Progression: 19.90/hour

500 Sign-On Bonus (After 120 days of successful employment)

Benefits Begin on Day 1 of Employment

Schedule: Monday through Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm.

All teammates must be willing to work overtime if needed. Overtime is scheduled Monday through Friday 7:00am - 9:00am and/or Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 11:00am/2:30pm.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for creating RAVING FANS of our customers this includes receiving, binning, picking, packing, and shipping customers' orders in a safe, productive, and error-free manner. You may operate various pieces of equipment including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, and Stand-up Dock Trucks. This position requires you to lift (up) to 50lb. regularly, and includes stooping, walking and standing for long periods of time.

• Loads roofing shingles onto roofs as well as other material handling in the yard and on jobsites.
• Counts and reconciles incoming and outgoing materials.

***Job Description**: As a Material Handler at DHL, you will be responsible for moving and handling materials and products within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles, operating forklifts and other machinery, and ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, and ensuring that materials are readily available for shipping and production processes. The role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Opens, crushes, or disposes of containers. Facilitates movement of materials or products.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials or trash from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stacks, organizes, or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. Assembles crates to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
• Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand, with power hoist, or forklift and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist operators.
• Makes simple adjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Reports any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution to senior management.
