Job Description
Summary: Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant to join our team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The individual will be responsible for driving multiple projects of varying complexities throughout the entire project life cycle (raw material through shipping), be the conduit for production‐related communications between shop floor and management regarding schedule, inventory, and quality issues. This role will take full ownership of related activities performed by multi‐disciplined cross‐functional teams.
FLSA Classification: Nonexempt Hourly
Type: Full-time
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Some weekend work may be necessary. Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of your supervisor.
Hourly Wage Range: $17.00 to $20.00 USD depending upon experience.
Reports to: Production Lead
Location: 100% onsite at 1055 E Francis St. Ontario, CA 91761 USA
Essential Job Duties (which include, but not limited to):
- Keep inventory maintained, labeled, organized and levels tracked, including shelf-life items. Resources will be available to lead this effort.
- Keeping department up to standard of cleanliness. Cleanliness audits to be performed if not daily per the discretion of management.
- Assign production department, including self, with day-to-day tasks.
- Meet shipping goals as defined by the Production Manager.
- Aid in the coordination of day‐to‐day production throughput, including scheduling, planning and execution of all jobs as defined by customer needs.
- Aid in providing accurate daily reporting of production status, schedules, updates and corrections taken to resolve issues.
- Use electronic communications board effectively to communicate department metrics.
- Maintain traveler conformance on a day-to-day basis.
- Aid the Production Manager and Director of Operations to develop and measure improvement of key performance indicators: safety, quality, on‐time delivery and efficiency.
- Manage and properly use JobBoss modules applicable to your areas of responsibility.
- Lead shop floor personnel to be capable of meeting company goals.
- Fill‐in on the shop floor when needed such as making parts or any other support activity.
- Be directly involved with the implementation and execution of continuous improvement planning and implementation.
- Supports 5-S and adheres to health, safety and environmental company guidelines.
- Ensure all jobs have been correctly completed through every step of the process as it deals with your company function. Take action to resolve discrepancies.
- Be a channel for Hera's vision and drive a culture of discipline and excellence.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of Manufacturing production control experience. within an aerospace manufacturing job‐shop environment.
- Ability to prioritize and react to project changes.
- Excellent planning, organization, and problem‐solving skills.
- Excellent PC skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English
- Ability to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
Preferred Requirements:
- Working knowledge of JobBoss ERP software is preferred.
- Production and inventory control experience (expediting and material handling) would be a plus.

- Must be US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US.

- Must be able to pass a physical examination, including an alcohol and drug test.

- The incumbent will spend a portion of the day on their feet and must follow strict safety rules. They wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from airborne debris. Loud noise from machinery requires use of hearing protectors. They wear hard toe shoes or boots to protect their feet from potentially dropped objects.

Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift material and guide loads; to climb onto vehicles to tie down and release material being loaded. This is continuous daily activity.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet to heights of 5 feet; exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, reach, squat, stand, walk up to 5 miles per day, climb up stairs, ladders and on equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Apply proper bundling techniques.
- Configure load based on planned route including multiple stops.
- Maximize load capacity on trailer without sacrificing safety.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, hammer, pallet trucks, banding machine, micrometer, beam hooks, plate lifting clamps, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment;
- Determine safety issues pertaining to equipment and promptly report them.

SUMMARY
Responsible for moving and placing parts and materials ready for processing and storage.

- Removes and weighting chips.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Set up parts in designated areas to prepare for processing.
- Identifies and ensures that the correct parts are placed in the designated order
- Assists machine operators with general duties as requested to support the smooth operation of the machines
- Reports any problems observed to supervisor whether they are related to storage and placing of parts or machine malfunctions, etc.
- Produces daily production reports as directed by supervisor
- Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
- Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum six months experience.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Ability to operate a saw, forklift, cranes, powered industrial equipment.
