Kommissary is a social enterprise on a mission to spread joy through food. We produce and deliver high volumes of meals spanning a diverse array of cuisines to every demographic in New York City. Kommissary is seeking a Picker/Packer that will work efficiently in a high-paced environment, using good verbal and written communication skills. This person should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role requires you to work in both fulfillment centers located in LIC, NY and Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Pick items from stock as per stock withdrawal or manager request.
• Ensure all items are labeled and packed appropriately for shipping.
• Maintain neat, orderly workstations and warehouse storage.
• Inspect items for physical or cosmetic damage, noting and reporting any irregularity.
• Take products and pack them neatly in our shipping boxes/crates.
• Double check the contents to ensure that the orders have been packed correctly.
• Responsible for invoicing work orders, returns from clients and meeting service deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience working in a warehouse setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYC Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Microsoft excel proficient, a plus!
• Basic math skills.
• Strong team work and great communication skills.
• Able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.
• Able to consistently meet minimum production standards.
• Able to operate electronic pallet jacks to stack cases on pallets and shrink. wrap completed order.
• Able to select orders accurately and quickly.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 70 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours in cold/warm temperatures, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.

• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Bring all raw materials to the production workstation prior to the start time of the production job according to schedule.
• Replenish all workstations with proper material, including all machines.
• Prepare implements in bins per job requirement to have them ready for assembly.
• Check quality of all items against sample, raise any issue to lead/supervisor/manager.
• Maintain 6S in work environment by ensuring workstation is always neat and orderly.
• Understand and comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines; wear protective supplies when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, under supervision.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend during work. Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift over 40 lbs. when necessary.
• Ability to be cross trained.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.

*A valid drivers license and forklift certification is required for this position*

Shift: 3rd shift, 11p-7a, Mon-Fri,

Pay: $19.90 + .75 shift differential = $0.65 on 3rd shift

We are currently looking for a full-time Material Handler (1st Shift). The Material Handler is responsible for moving and transporting materials and production supplies to/from production, shipping, and warehouse areas at the Transcontinental Brooklyn manufacturing campus. Material Handlers may also be assigned responsibilities associated with transporting materials by Truck to and from buildings within the TC Brooklyn campus.

Compensation:
The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll. The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is 19.90 per hour.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer products are accurately shipped, missing packages are located, and if applicable, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Maintain a fair and professional work environment that focuses the business objectives, but also balances quality of work-life factors for employees.
• Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned/directed.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Handler to support our warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for executing day-to-day tasks related to shipping, receiving, staging, and delivering packages while maintaining accurate inventory records. This is an onsite position based in the New York Metropolitan area.

Starting at $18/hour.

Materials Handler 's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders
• Stage materials for storage or distribution to appropriate departments
• Deliver packages and materials to internal teams or designated locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and proper documentation
• Perform data entry to update inventory systems and track package movement
• Assist with packaging and preparing items for outgoing shipments
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse best practices

• Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling environment preferred
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and basic computer skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision

Hours-6:00am to 3:00pm

Description/Comment:
Seeking motivated individual to maintain warehouse , load/unload deliveries and transport materials to jobsites in the greater Milwaukee area.

Shift will start with loading materials on to trucks, via forklift and pallet jacks. Once loaded deliveries will be made to construction and service teams in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Upon completion of the deliveries, remainder of day will be spent organizing and cleaning warehouse.

Additional Job Details: Successful candidate must be able to pass a WI DOT exam, this is required to operate Stake/Box trucks. Employer will pay for this exam.

Job Summary:

This position is for a Material Handler to work on-site in the stockroom.

Job Responsibility:

• Pull and pick material for production kits
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Fill material requisitions from production floor
• Properly label and identify material
• Maintain inventory records using MRP/ERP system
• Locates, and transfers part shortages within the plant that may be required for completion of assemblies.
• Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Reviews customer orders, examines, stock and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
• Utilizes reel counters when necessary
• Verifies and maintains associated stock records, logs, shortage reports and other documentation.

Required Qualification:

• High School diploma
• 0-3 years of experience
