**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform quality assurance checks on all packages and to sort and palletize packages in preparation for shipment. The secondary responsibility of this position is to void fill and tape packages for shipment and handle packages that require special packaging.
**REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Primary Duties:**
Examines all outbound orders to ensure they are packaged properly and have the required labels affixed properly.
Verifies that there are no limited quantity labels on air packages or trailers.
Returns packages that do not pass inspection to wrapper and explains the corrective action required.
Ensures the accuracy of auto sorted packages by method of shipments. Shrink wraps the pallets for preparation of shipment, when applicable.
Tests packages to ensure the void space was adequately filled.
Loads trucks with merchandise for shipment in an organized manner.
Ensures all packages are properly sealed.
Operates powered equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner.

The Warehouse Associate receives, stores and distributes material, equipment and products in the warehouse.
Essential Functions
Materials Handling
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
- Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
Safety
- Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely, utilizing proper body mechanics
- Reports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor
- Maintains the cleanliness of their work areas
General and Administrative
- Basic computer skills are required
- Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
- Supports the corporate vision, mission and values
- Communicates effectively with various management and operational departments
- Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
- Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Work Schedule
- This role is 100% on-site, Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, and Friday 8am-3pm.
Qualifications
Formal Education and Certification
- High school diploma required
Knowledge and Experience
- Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent work
- Experience utilizing material handling equipment
- Forklift experience is required
- The ability to do basic math and take measurements is highly desirable

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor in the yards or warehouse. They will operate a company vehicle while making product deliveries in the field as well as a variety of hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing yards or sites, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials and anything else needed in the warehouse. They may also assist in road sign fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction yards/ projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use.
- Make deliveries as needed.
- Inventory of warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supply.
- Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Material handling and storage.
- Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (filled with fuel, fluids inspected and topped, appropriate tire pressure).
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Material Delivery to jobsites.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Branch Manager or Operations Manager.
- Receive all inbound material and provide counts and documentation to Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager and Operations Manager.
- May assist with front counter.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction.
