Audio Video OperatorThe Audio Video Operator is an on-call, per event employee who assists the Production Manager in all aspects of AV needs for Iowa Events Center during and in preparation for events.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.00 to $15.00.
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until November 14, 2025.
Responsibilities- Fulfill event requirements on AV needs including but not limited to areas of: audio, replay playback, lights, and technical direction as events require
- Assist Production Manager with video and sound needs
- Operate professional style video cameras
- Understand and utilize low-level audio/visual engineering and signal flow knowledge to accurately setup and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment with limited supervision
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly and in sufficient detail to minimize troubleshooting steps
- Lead video production segments as needed
- Assist with video production of all games and events (where required) in house
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
- Knowledge of Daktonics Show Control software preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience working with Ross Blackstorm & Ross Xpression preferred
- Experience with 3play preferred
- Experience with Ross Carbonite Production Switcher preferred
- Knowledge of Panasonic Studio cameras preferred
- Experience with Allen and Heath mixing console preferred
- Must have demonstrated experience in operation several aspects of video production and video production crew
- Experience in editing preferred
- Experience in levels of sound reinforcement preferred
- Must be comfortable multi tasking and working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work events above and beyond the normal working day, including nights and weekend.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team

Education and ExperienceHigh school or equivalent experience and over six months up to one year of similar or related work experience.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Visual requirements include clarity of vision at distance of less than 20 inches and more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
- You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
- You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
- You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
- You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
- You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
