The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) organization is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with Amazon Worldwide Design Engineering teams to ensure new equipment and modifications to existing equipment installed in operational Amazon buildings comply with all applicable codes, regulations and harmonized standards. You will also partner with various engineering, design and operations teams including, Operations Engineering, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, Business Operations Leaders, Field WHS teams, and other key stakeholders. In addition, you will be required to lead risk assessments, assist in the development and review of equipment designs and provide guidance on requirements on controls and devices. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

The Hazmat Coordinator Coordinator provides technical support and tactical execution in the implementation of Amazon Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs within assigned fulfillment center.
Function as Lead in Regulated Waste Team which sorts, identifies, designates and packages regulated waste from the production floor in a manner compliant with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. **Role Description**
The results of the CRA are utilized to drive monitoring and testing activities and to prioritize Compliance and other resources as new emergent risks are identified.
This role will include conducting compliance risk assessments of certain U.S. legal entities in the role of subject matter expert ("SME") as well as managing other SMEs outside of the CRA team in their conduct of compliance risk assessments for the legal entities they cover (primarily non-U.S. entities). Workplace Health & Safety plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
Our team is responsible for developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and well-being standards, working alongside colleagues from across the business to create programs that support all requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Relevant experience in a Learning and Development, training, education or facilitation role
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- PMP
- Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
