Purpose:
To protect all people, property, and brand integrity across all Zara and Massimo Dutti operations in the United States & Puerto Rico. Ensuring safety in stores and offices, preventing theft and fraud, managing security teams, responding to emergencies and coordinating with local law enforcement jurisdictions. Aligns with legal standards and global practices. Supporting the retail business and environment by establishing protocols in cross collaboration with HR, Health & Safety, General Services, Legal, and Operations.
As a HEAD OF SECURITY AND LOSS PREVENTION your essential tasks, duties, and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and enforce security policies across all Zara USA locations, including stores, warehouses, and corporate offices
- Lead and manage security teams, including identifying security agencies to protect stores, store employees and customers.
- Oversee loss prevention strategies to reduce theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage aligned with national crime trends
- Manages and supports the loss prevention team through training and development in addition to mentorship.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services not only during incidents or investigations but establishes relationships for possible prevention of incidents.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access controls to ensure physical security and safety of everyone in stores and on company property.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate physical and reputational threats.
- Respond to crises and emergencies, including evacuations, threats, or disruptions.
- Crisis Management and emergency response planning

Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of Leadership & Supervision with experience managing teams and coordinating multi-agency operations
- Military or law enforcement background required
- Extensive criminal investigative background
- Specialize in intelligence and counterterrorism with experience in gathering and dissemination information across citywide/national incidents
- Experienced managing internal investigations & ethics involving internal personnel and third-party vendors working onsite locations.
- Ability to build strong relationships with law enforcement agencies
- Compliance & Ethical Oversight with proven integrity
Annual compensation range: $200,000 - $230,000 + discretionary annual bonus

This individual will design, implement, and maintain security solutions and controls that safeguard sensitive data across the enterprise. The role requires expertise in DLP technologies, cloud access security, and zero-trust principles, with a strong ability to integrate these into enterprise-wide security strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Review, test, and implement security solutions related to:
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Conditional Access, policy configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
- Data Classification & Labeling: Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data classification and labeling standards; leverage AI/ML-driven solutions to automatically classify and tag sensitive information.
- CASB Solutions: Manage inline (proxy-based) and out-of-band (API-based) CASB models to control access to and usage of SaaS applications.
- ZTNA Solutions: Integration and operation of Zero Trust Network Access solutions (e.g., Zscaler, Prisma Access, Axis) with DLP enforcement.
- Email Security: Integrate DLP and data classification policies with enterprise email security platforms.
- Public Cloud Security: Apply DLP and CASB controls in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Develop, enforce, and continuously improve data protection policies and security baselines.
- Monitor DLP systems for policy violations, anomalous activity, and potential data exfiltration; investigate incidents and drive remediation.
- Recommend enhancements to improve visibility and effectiveness of data classification, labeling, and protection capabilities.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Automate manual security tasks and policy enforcement where possible (infrastructure as code, scripting, orchestration).
- Strong understanding of data security principles, data classification, and labeling frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise DLP platforms (Microsoft Purview strongly preferred).
- Experience with AI-driven data classification solutions and integration into security workflows.
- Familiarity with CASB deployment models (inline and out-of-band) and their application to SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks and their application to DLP and access controls.
- Solid understanding of cloud security controls in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with network and application protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, etc.) and how they impact data protection.
- Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Security Engineering role, with at least 3+ years focused on DLP, data classification, and data security technologies.
- Direct experience with data labeling and classification projects, ideally with AI/ML-driven automation.
- Working knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, OWASP).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Security, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Industry-recognized certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or Security+) are strongly preferred.

Overview
Loss Prevention Manager Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) at New Balance. This working manager position is responsible for overseeing security activities and day-to-day Loss Prevention (LP) operations for the New Balance Global Operations Center under the general direction of the Loss Prevention Operations Manager. This position is based at the New Balance Headquarters and will lead and train a dedicated staff in receiving and processing incoming calls, along with monitoring, dispatching, and documenting security alarms. This role supports all NB departments.
Major Accountabilities- Manage GSOC Operators for a 24/7 operation.
- Lead implementation of GSOC buildout (infrastructure design, software selection, systems integration, operational processes).
- Oversee work in a 24/7 environment monitoring various information systems, CCTV feeds, and alarm systems.
- Develop and revise operation center processes, protocols, and systems. Identify process and quality improvements in collaboration with the Loss Prevention Operations Manager.
- Provide back-up support and on-call function as necessary to mitigate scheduling conflicts. Schedule operator shifts and shift coverage.
- Communicate security issues or emergency situations by escalating information to department leadership, local law enforcement, emergency services (e.g., EMT, Fire Departments).
- Develop GSOC capabilities. Oversee maintenance and deployment of a GSOC knowledge management dashboard (e.g., SharePoint or another tool).
- Serve as final approver for mass notifications/critical incident communications.
- Conduct shift briefings to provide updates, assignments, training, and ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure Loss Prevention Officers respond to emergencies (medical, fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters, accidents). Provide information and tactical recommendations to leadership during incidents.
- Evaluate and process information from all sources; respond with appropriate communication, analytic reporting, and incident response procedures.
- Deliver timely metrics on performance, output, outcomes, and impact.
- Ensure proper management of sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality and information security practices.
- Manage the 24x7x365 call center schedule.
- Provide training, support, and supervision of GSOC personnel.
- Provide administrative support including payroll duties, personnel tracking, scheduling, and training.
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree with a BA preferred. 5–7 years of security experience (preferably in a control center setting) plus three years of supervisory experience required. Training experience is a plus.
- Training in security and safety aspects of industrial environments required.
- Proficiency in Loss Prevention regulations (Security and Fire Protection).
- Excellent communication skills; ability to speak or understand Spanish is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control, and alarm equipment.
- PC proficiency with Word and Excel; some knowledge of CAD is helpful.
- Current EMT or First Aid/CPR Certification is helpful.
- Valid driver’s license; on-call 24/7 via cell phone; member of Emergency Response Team.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service while handling a high volume of calls.

The individual will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing the key security tools and platforms supporting our Cyber Fusion Centre colleagues as well as guiding key projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven success implementing DLP and data labelling technologies.
What you will be responsible for- Driving key projects and initiatives to improve and expand existing DLP platform capabilities
- Working on technology projects, including product evaluation, solution design, implementation and operationalisation
- Working directly with Stakeholders and Business Units to define requirements and develop security solutions
- Working with key stakeholders and vendors to implement new or additional DLP capabilities to enhance our risk-driven data protection
- Partnering within the Cyber Fusion Centre teams to ensure our security platforms meet operational needs, within DLP Program Operations, Insider Threat and Incident response
- Owning the reliability, availability, and performance of DLP platforms
- Strong foundational security knowledge, with specific expertise in DLP and Endpoint Security tooling
- Exposure to, and knowledge of enterprise DLP technologies across all infrastructure components eg Symantec DLP, Digital Guardian Endpoint DLP, ProofPoint, ZScaler Internet Access (ZIA), Microsoft Purview
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of current data protection, information security and cyber security practices and techniques
- Previous experience actively participating in all phases of enterprise wide security platform projects, from initiation (discovery) to implementation and operationalisation
- A collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and improving security
- Project tracking experience and organisational skills
- Strong personal work ethic with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure
- Experience in a 24/7 security operations environment, emphasising reliability and system availability
- A track record of succeeding in distributed, international teams
- This is a role for an experienced security professional, expected to have 7+ years of relevant security experience
- A degree is not required for this role, but a qualification in information security or information systems may be beneficial
- Experience with scripting, system integration, or light development would be beneficial (e.g., Python, PowerShell, other scripting)
- Security certifications may be beneficial (e.g., CISSP, CISM, relevant product certifications)
- Experience in financial services may be beneficial, or experience of leading technical teams
- This role may be filled in Ireland (Dublin or Kilkenny preferred, or remote) or United States (MA preferred, or remote)
- This team supports 24/7 operations, therefore participation in an on-call rotation is required

- Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Previous Law Enforcement or Military preferred or prior retail Loss Prevention experience - Undercover experience a plus
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Driving Positions : must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

- Ability to travel to store locations within 25 miles of home
- Ability to work retail store hours - to work evening and weekends
- Possesses general operating knowledge of retail security camera equipment
- Blend into a retail environment
