As a registered nurse at Georgia Hospice Care , you’ll be a voice for your patients, all while communicating with everyone involved in the plan of care-the patient, the patient’s family, and the hospice care team. After-Hours Hospice RNs are salaried full-time positions to cover on call after hours from 5pm on Friday to 8am Monday morning. You will be fully supported by our 24/7 RN staffed Triage Department alongside your local hospice team.

Qualifications:

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated, patient-focused physicians licensed in at least to join our team. Whether your background is in primary care, internal medicine, addiction medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care, this role provides an opportunity to practice modern, high-quality medicine without the constraints of a traditional practice setting. While most of our services are fully virtual, in-person hybrid opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate medical treatment.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, building therapeutic doctor-patient relationships.
  • Order and interpret lab tests as needed to make informed, high-quality treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and provide expert guidance on their proper usage (QuickMD does not prescribe controlled substances, except for buprenorphine for opioid addiction treatment).
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, experienced nurses, and a dedicated support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain appropriate medical documentation to support continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, but preferably five, plus willingness to obtain additional state licenses (assistance provided and costs covered).
  • Critical to be licensed in at least five states and/or three or emore of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX.
  • Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings.
  • Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance.

Shield the patient's gonads region especially children and adults of childbearing age.
Limit repeats exposures to the patients, by ensuring the equipment is set up correctly.
Wear radiation monitoring badges at all times.
Wear protective equipment when in the radiation field (fluoroscopic exams and or holding patients). Protective equipment-Lead aprons and gloves, thyroid shield and leaded glasses.
Stand behind the protective barrier, when not required to be in the radiation field.
Limit exposure by limiting exposure time to radiation and increase your distance from the radiation source.
Ensure the safety of others during the exam by having them behind the lead barrier or wear radiation protective equipment during an exposure.

DOCUMENTATION:
Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users.
Uses correct terminology.
Conforms to required style and format.

TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE:
Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
Understands equipment operation.

  4. Patient volume: Established patient panel usually 18 to 22 patients per day

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 403b and 457c available, Life insurance 1 x salary, short-term disability, malpractice insurance provided via FTCA coverage, PTO 15 days (yr 1-2), 20 days (year3+) however potentially negotiable for the right candidate, 10 holidays per year, CME annual allowance, license and DEA renewals paid
