Position Purpose:
Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Communicates and interacts with co-workers. Technicians are responsible for the documentation, completion, and keeping the work orders for all repairs and parts used daily. The position will be required to perform road call services as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Complete and perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/ repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) as well as, identifying root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition which may require replacement of parts
  • Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as “roadworthy”
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
  • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists

Overview

This position will be a part of the City of Peoria Social Services Unit (SSU). SSU personnel are tasked with assisting those who come into contact with, or are referred to, the SSU. One of the goals is to promote safer encounters between citizens in need of crisis services and police department personnel while maintaining a high level of professional service. The other main goal is to refer to, and encourage participation in, appropriate mental health, substance use, or other needs-based services that may fit the individual. Responsibilities

Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.Anticipates set-up and needs for invasive procedures.Assists with inventory/supplies.Checks for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc.Administers medication in compliance with scope of practice.Documents accurately and completely.Explains procedure to patient and provides for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.Performs all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.Required to float to all procedural areas.Maintains a clean and neat work area.Demonstrates competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment; Performs basic troubleshooting for this equipment.Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures. Administers and with holds contrast and treatment as appropriate. Assess patients for allergies. Function as a scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis during procedures. Assists physician during interventional procedures. Able to take call after 6 months of orientation.

The compensation range for this position is $0.72per hour - 52.84per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
