- Perform various technical and manual procedures within the scope of licensure while seeking guidance for issues outside of expertise.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
- Act as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers, ensuring professional interactions.
- Involve patients and families in the development of treatment plans and maintain a safe caregiving environment.
- Consult with other departments to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Communicate clearly with unit directors, co-workers, and physicians, fostering strong working relationships.
- Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with current standards and policies.
- Manage equipment safely and correctly while coordinating and supervising patient care as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to function well in stressful situations.
- Maintain annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose testing.

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience is required.
- Experience in postpartum and nursery care is required.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Active Ohio nursing license or compact license at the time of submission.
- Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are preferred.
