Summary

CHS Dakota Plains Ag in Mooreton, ND is looking for a Agronomy Truck Driver to join their team. This individual would be responsible for hauling fertilizers and ag commodities to our local farmers and ranchers. This position is M-F home daily with overtime and weekends during the spring and fall busy seasons. The ideal candidate would have a Class A CDL with manual transmission expereince. Apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Assist with or load or unload, as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service. Treat customers professionally; greet customers promptly and courteously. Promptly handle all customer concerns and elevate to leadership if required.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and work environment.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections. Ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed including repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Report all incidents (bodily or property), accidents, and traffic violations to immediately to supervisor.
  • Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program.
  • Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned. May include intercompany related driving.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Class A or B CDL
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

  • Maintain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Hazmat,Tanker, Air Brake endorsements preferred

We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Relationship Specialist who enjoys and is energized by building relationships through meaningful interactions with current and prospective customers. You will be part of a local team responsible for providing financing (floorplanning) for independent auto dealers. You will be involved in elevating customer relationships, attracting new business, and growing AFC revenue while balancing risk. The ideal candidate will have three years of experience in customer-facing, sales, or sales support roles.

You Will:

  • Grow the portfolio organically and assist in promotional efforts to new and existing accounts for product campaigns and cross-platform partnerships.

  • Manage, service, and balance risk on customer accounts

  • Manage existing accounts and drive new growth opportunities. 

  • Embrace our culture of supporting others' success as they grow in their role.

Must Have’s:

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in customer-facing, sales, or sales support roles.

  • A valid driver's license with reliable and dedicated transportation.

  • Ability to travel 60-70% within your market to support our current and prospective customer base.

  • Desire and experience working in a multi-faceted environment, effectively managing multiple tasks with a strong focus on productivity and the ability to adapt.

  • Proficiently apply sales expertise, adapt to audiences, maintain curiosity, and effectively resolve core dealer issues.

  • A strong understanding of portfolio management, risk, and new business development.

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously when needed as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to use and understand technology required for your position such as mobile applications and software. 

  • High level of accountability towards local goals and business targets.

Nice to Have’s:

  • Previous auto industry or financial services experience

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Salesforce, Tableau
