SUMMARY:
As a CT Technologist, your ability to empathize with patients, specialized technical skills, and dedication to quality, greatly enhances the overall success of imaging and the department as a whole.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Patient Care - Responsible for radiography of patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT guided procedures; provide on-call coverage for CT section of Radiology; follow up on patient care issues/needs.
· Documentation - Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and procedures; document performance of studies in patient charts.
· Daily Maintenance - Assist with day-to-day supervision of the CT team; clean, restock and prepare rooms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
· NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
· American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.
· Effective 7/16/2018 - NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work in various software applications preferred.
· Exceptional customer service and communication skills preferred.

SUMMARY
As a Mammo Tech, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills is mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assists radiologist in performing mammographic procedures. This team member’s role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
• Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.
• Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards. (American College of Radiology).
• Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
• Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:
As a Sonographer, you play an important part in high quality imaging exams needed to deliver quality care to our patients. Performs or assists in the performance of Vascular, Abdominal, OB/GYN or Neurovascular Sonography exams. The primary objective is to obtain high quality images and maximize the efficiency of the Radiologist or Neurologist while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a consistent level of quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ultrasound Scans - Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans; produce ultrasound images and obtain all required measurements; assist attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance.
· Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
· Documentation - Note performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting; phone preliminary reports in to doctor’s offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist.
· Room Preparation - Clean, stock and prepare room daily.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Effective June 1, 2023: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound required for all new hires.
· For Radiology sites/affiliates with ACR accreditation, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required (within 6 months of graduation from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Program (CAAHEP), or within 18 months of graduation from a non-accredited program). If hired prior to September 1, 2022, a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is required by March 1, 2023.
· For Neurovascular & Vascular, the RDMS is not required.

· Prior Sonographer experience preferred.

Equiliem is seeking a local contract nurse Correctional for a local contract nursing job in Lansing, New York.

Shift/Hours: Day Shift 6a-2:30p (includes 30-minutes meal break) Tuesday – Saturdays
Finger Lakes Residential Center (FLRC) is located seven miles north of the city of Ithaca. Youth are in a one-story building with eight units. Individual units contain a large multi-purpose area and connect to a classroom that can be used as program space evenings and weekends.
Each unit opens to the main area that contains additional classrooms, vocational shops, a kitchen area and central dining.
The campus was designed utilizing the latest technical security and open spacious areas optimizing supervision of the youth.
The youth served at FLRC are male, adjudicated juvenile delinquents, generally between the ages of 13 and 18, placed with OCFS by the Family Court.
This facility is accredited by the American Correctional Association.
REGISTERED NURSE
- Delivers health care using applicable laws, policies, regulations, clinical standards and juvenile justice standards, under the direction of the Bureau of Health Services.
-Identifies health care delivery problems in collaboration with the facility Nurse Administrator, facility administration, and Bureau of Health Services.
-Conducts daily sick call at designated time per facility L.O.P., and follow up exams as clinically indicated.
-Conducts confidential post restraint exams and interviews within 1 hour of restraint in the clinic only.
-Responds to emergency situations within 3 minutes, and provides first aid as indicated.
-Complete referrals to MD, DDS, Mental Health, Optometry, or other services as indicated.
-Collect laboratory specimens as ordered.
-Communicate with Mid-Level provider, MD, peers, direct care staff, and administrators regarding resident health/clinic issues as they arise (activity restrictions, special dietary needs, epi-pen program, etc.).
-Complete and submit Statistics, Psychotropic medications, staff Hepatitis B, PPD, and Vaccine usage reports to Bureau of Health Services monthly.
-Assure that 1 st Aid kits and Spill kits are properly stocked, current, and in their correct location monthly.
-Check Emergency bag inventory, and assess proper functioning of equipment monthly.
-Perform AED checks and document monthly.
- Inventories, orders and maintains clinic supplies and equipment.
-Sign off MD/PA/NP orders and transcribe to Medication Administration Record as soon as possible after verifying allergies.
-Order medications from pharmacy, and track delivery of medications. Notify pharmacy if meds not delivered within 24 hours. Return unused meds to pharmacy for credit.
-Complete a weekly review of Medication Administration Record to assure that all meds are administered and initialed.
-Maintain stock of OTC meds needed to manage minor complaints, according to the standing orders.
-Medication administration including a thorough mouth check with a tongue blade and light, to assure compliance.
-Maintain working knowledge of prescribed medications, and their side effects.
-Maintain perpetual inventories, controlled substance, syringe, and sharps storage counts. Properly dispose of controlled substances per DOH regulations.
Psychotropic medication administration and monitoring:
-Observe for, inquire about, and document side effects daily on the OCFS #3141 form.
-Perform weekly vital signs and weights on youth taking Psychotropic meds.
-Obtain quarterly lab work, EKG, Orthostatic BP, and AIMS testing on youth.
-Coordinate obtaining and managing Psych med consents from Client.
-Assure youth obtains renewal of Psych med prescription every 30 days.
ADMISSION, TRANSFER, AND DISCHARGE OF RESIDENTS:
-Completes and evaluates "Admission Screening Interview form within 1 hour of Admission.
-Obtains medical history, height, weight, vital signs, audio and visual screening, TB skin test, and immunizations if needed, and any ordered lab work within 24 hours.
-Assures youth's understanding of health services offered, by obtaining youth's signature on "Access to Health Services form while obtaining medical history.
-Obtains previous medical records when received.
-Prepares medical records and supplies including medication, for trips and discharges.
-Updates receiving facility of youth's status if transfer meeting is not held.
-Completes an up to date Transfer/Discharge summary prior to youth's discharge/ transfer from the facility.
MAINTAIN DOCUMENTATION:
-Maintain documentation of care in the youth's health record and clinic log. Every clinical encounter is documented in the clinic log, and the youth's health record in the progress section according to HIPPA and OCFS guidelines.
-Communicates pertinent youth health related problems to co-workers via daily "medical communications log.
-Sign off MD/PA/NP orders, and accurately transcribe to Medication Administration Record as soon as possible.
SUPPORTIVE NURSING FUNCTIONS:
-Schedules and supervises the Medical, Vision, and Dental clinics at the facility.
Schedules and coordinates off-grounds medical trips as indicated and ordered.
-Communicates pertinent health-related information to appropriate unit, recreation, education, and kitchen staff.
-Conducts at least one AED drill per year.
-Provides pertinent medical information, and offers input regarding treatment planning to members of various Support teams.
-Provides Tuberculosis testing, Hepatitis B vaccines, Influenza vaccines, and Significant Risk Exposure determinations for employees.
-Prepares and maintains staff records and clinic logs, according to HIPPA and OCFS guidelines, including monthly, quarterly, and annual TB, Hepatitis B, and seasonal Influenza vaccines given.
HEALTH EDUCATION:
-Serves as primary resource for residents regarding health and wellness issues.
-Provides incidental teaching specific to resident concerns/physical findings.
-Conducts formalized group teaching as requested to residents/staff as planned with Mid-Level.
-Provides and reinforces necessary medical information to program staff to assure follow up care on the unit such as activity restrictions and special dietary needs.
-Responds in a supportive knowledgeable manner to staff concerns regarding resident medical issues, within the confines of HIPPA.
-Collaborates with facility teams to problem solve professionally regarding health concerns/medical issues.
Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 1pm to 11pm.
Contract: Up to two years.
