Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Communicates and interacts with co-workers. Technicians are responsible for the documentation, completion, and keeping the work orders for all repairs and parts used daily. The position will be required to perform road call services as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete and perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/ repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) as well as, identifying root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition which may require replacement of parts
- Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as “roadworthy”
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists

This position will be a part of the City of Peoria Social Services Unit (SSU). SSU personnel are tasked with assisting those who come into contact with, or are referred to, the SSU. The compensation range for this position is $33.32per hour - $57.31per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. Certifications: Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: College diploma in Nursing
Responsibilities
CLINICAL EXCELLENCE FOCUS: Promotes the use of evidence based practice through the nursing process, protocols and procedures.
- Assesses patient's status through interview, observation and physical assessment of actual problems and outcomes.
- Develops an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and health care team.
- Uses appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes.
- Systematically evaluates and documents patient's progress toward expected outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis throughout the shift.
- Modifies plan of care based on evaluation and as needed based on changes in patient condition.
- Completes required documentation as appropriate, including patient chart and event reports.
- Demonstrates professional accountability for own practice as evidenced through seeking resources and continued self-development.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoots when problems arise.
