Evaluates, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of speech language pathology. The Physical Therapist III provides Physical Therapy services to patients/clients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. POSITION DUTIES:

Perform a skilled evaluation through impairment testing with the interpretation of the findings that relate to functional deficits. Problem identification is the Therapist's clinical judgment about the client's response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
Develop treatment plans relevant to clinical findings that provide individualized treatment for the patient's level of care and length of stay related to established goals.
Reassess the patient's functional needs and adjust the care plan as indicated, including status change documentation.

Direct the practice of support staff to achieve the patient’s functional goals. Participate in performance improvement teams/activities and quality improvement measures within the department. Serve as a champion or lead for a specific project or service area.
 

THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST III PT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred:  Master’s Degree

Licensure
Required: Valid, current license; AZ State Board of OT Examiners

Certificates
Required: CPR-BLS

Experience
Required: 3 years experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist working in the field of Occupational Therapy

Skills
Required:  Verbal and written communication skills.  Clinical skills that reflect variable experience
Preferred: Neonatal and Pediatric competencies

Knowledge
Required: Advanced knowledge of OT theory and practice

Technology
Required: Basic computer skills
Preferred: Microsoft Office

Other
Required:  Must be able to work flexible hours, holidays and/or weekends. Must be able to transport self to various work sites.  When using own vehicle must have valid Arizona drivers’ license and proof of insurance that meets the minimum standard for the state of Arizona.
Preferred: Bilingual English / Spanish
