The Occupational Therapist in Home Health is responsible for the assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments and adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions.
- Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the health care team.
- Evaluates the patient’s functional status, status of all body systems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs. Consults with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care.
- Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
- Conducts patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.

The Surgical PA Service at Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking to add a board-certified full-time Physician Assistant to join its team. We are a hospital-based group that offers a supportive and team-based environment with exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties. Responsibilities currently include OR first assist coverage as well as perioperative management of patients on the general surgery service. This position is a great opportunity for growth with a high volume of DaVinci Robotic Surgery cases.
1. OR First Assisting- Surgical PA Services first assist in the OR for specialties including but not limited to general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
2. Rounding- Surgical PA’s round on general surgery patients daily. This is done as a team-based approach with attendings, residents, students.
3. Consults/ Admissions- Surgical PA Services covers admissions and consults for general surgeons
4. Night Coverage – On call from home. Night coverage responsibilities include first assisting emergent OR cases, admissions and consults for general surgery.

This position is for four 10-hour shifts per week with one weekend shift per month. There is an extensive onboarding and training period as well as a supportive environment for collaboration and learning.
Qualifications
· The qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and be NCCPA certified as well as possess strong surgical and patient management experience.
· Candidates with at least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered as will new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience.
