The primary responsibility of the EP Tech is to provide assistance with the patient care in the electrophysiology lab through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization and EP team.
- Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues in the patient.

- Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order.
- Evaluate images by checking the quality of the image and the making sure that the area in question is included in the image.

- Assist physicians in the performance of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs.

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $26.25 - $34.12 / hour
Summary"Performs diagnostic radiology imaging including routine, mobile, OR, fluoroscopy and emergency procedures. Complies with State and Federal regulations for radiation usage and safety. Evaluates and determines diagnostic image quality of recorded images. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote employer, patient, and physician satisfaction. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in ""on call"" rotation as determined per specific department needs."
RequirementsEducation:
Graduate of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography Program.
Experience:
New Graduate.
Certification:
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required.
License:
Florida Radiologic Technologist License required.
Other:
ARRT registered or eligible.
- Weekend schedule hours are the hours between 11p Friday and 7a Monday.
- Only staff working two consecutive 16-hour weekend schedule shifts qualify for the radiology 16-hour weekend pay plan.
- Weekend hours worked must fall between 11p Friday and 7a Monday. Standard hours must not be less than 32 hours per weekend.
