Applicants should have a current NM RN or compact license and possess an associate or bachelorâ s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Certifications:
- BLS upon hire
- NRP and ACLS within six months of hire or transfer into position
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring and STABLE within one year of hire or transfer into position.
- New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this â grace periodâ for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.

Duties Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery Nurses (RN), also called perinatal nurses, provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby. They are responsible for making sure that the medical as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birthing process.
- Labor and Delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.
- Monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth.
- Monitor patients for potential high risk problems.
- Educate and support mothers and their families after giving birth.

Duties Responsibilities
Post Anesthesia Care Unit / PACU RN will assist in recovering the patients from anesthesia. They also monitor patients while they wake up from surgery until they are released, either by discharge to outpatient or transfer to the floor for their patient stay.
- Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. Treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs.
- Administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
