**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team. Under general supervision, this position requires performing respiratory care-related procedures while adhering to established protocols. The Respiratory Therapist will assess patient conditions, administer prescribed therapies and aerosolized medications, provide airway and ventilator management, perform diagnostic tests, and accurately document patient responses to therapy modalities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess and monitor patient conditions to determine respiratory care needs.
- Administer prescribed therapies, including aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy.
- Provide basic and advanced respiratory care to patients, including neonates and pediatrics, particularly in intensive care and transport settings.
- Work collaboratively with physicians to develop breathing management strategies for patients with respiratory disorders.
- Conduct various diagnostic tests related to the cardiopulmonary system to assess the effects of diseases and treatments.
- Perform airway and ventilator management, including the placement, monitoring, and maintenance of advanced airways.
- Document patient response and adjustments to therapy modalities effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (REQUIRED).
- Must hold relevant certifications and be willing to obtain any additional certifications within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- State licensing in Maryland.
