Duties Responsibilities

CT technologists, operate CT equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

  • Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Appropriately setting the controls of the related equipment, monitoring equipment and patient, making adjustments as necessary
  • Assisting radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Assisting radiologist with interventional CT procedures
  • Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately labeling
  • Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with some clerical functions
  • Charging procedures and supplies used to the patient record
  • Loading and operating power injections for contrast media administration
  • Delivers quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

- Participate in staff orientation and training as needed.

- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to facility policies and procedures.

**Qualifications:**
- Current RN license with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery and LDRP care.
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP. Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS).
- Recent experience with Epic documentation within the past 2 years is mandatory.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Work Schedule:**
- 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) with possible rotation every 2 weeks.
- Expected to participate in on-call duties; 2 shifts in a rolling 4-week timetable.
- Must be available for every other weekend and work during holidays.

**Patient Population:**
- Care provided to a diverse patient population, including laboring women, postpartum patients, and newborn infants, with occasional medical-surgical overflow.

**Unit Specific Information:**
- The unit has a capacity of 10 beds including triage rooms.

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, for a Full-time opportunity performing home health visits for our office located in Williston, VT. . This office services adult and geriatric patients in homes throughout Washington and Orange county, VT.

Prior home care experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, SLP is a plus, but not required.

As a home care Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Responsibilities:

  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients who are experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop a treatment plan based on the evaluation, physician’s orders, and recommended goals.
  • Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, and participate with BAYADA clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Qualifications:

  • A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Vermont.
  • Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or;
  • Have the equivalent educational requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and work experience necessary for such a certificate, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association examination for certification, or;
  • Have completed the necessary work and education requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and be in the process of accumulating the necessary supervised work experience required for certification.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
