Days needed: Monday-7:45-5pm and Friday-6:45-3pm

About Dental Care at Harris Crossing
Dental Care at Harris Crossing, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Minimum Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of clinical experience is preferred
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
Physical Requirements

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required within 6 months of employment.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education
Associates degree in nursing is required.
Certifications/Licenses
A current North Carolina or compact stated Registered Nurse (RN) license is required upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 30 days of employment.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required within 6 months of employment.
Handle with Care (HWC) is required within 6 months of hire.
Required Skills
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
1 year of experience in a health care setting is preferred.

Position Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. Performs head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific for the patient's age.
Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patient's clinical condition.
Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
Formulates, implements, and revises the patient's plan of care based on the patient's diagnosis and clinical symptoms.
Formulates, implements, and revises the patient's educational plan.
Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
Performs treatments and provides services to the level of licensure.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
Coordinates and supervises patient care.
Meets current documentation standards and policies.
