Job Tile: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Frederick, MD
Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)
Pay Range: $29-$2 hourly (Pay based on experience) *
Schedule: Monday–Friday – no weekends, no holidays, no call
Hours: ~35 hours/week (based on school bell hours)
Contract Length: 44 Weeks
Candidate Type: Local candidates only – travel stipend not available
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in the school setting
- Valid RN license
- Be willing to obtain MD licensure

Responsibilities
- Provide essential support and specialized care to students in educational settings.
- From IEP meetings to direct therapy or nursing care, your role will have a lasting impact on the well-being and development of students throughout the academic year.
- Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to ensure students receive services tailored to their individual needs.
- Provide treatment for students with various communication disorders such as articulation, language, and fluency.
- Conduct speech and language evaluations.
- Write and implement goals and objectives for IEP’s.
- Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team and provide classroom support.
- Work with children in variety of classroom settings and provide additional services depending on the needs of the student population.
