Cath Lab Tech needed asap
10 hrs Days, 7:00AM-5:30PM
Every 5th weekend on call 7am Saturday to 7am Monday
Type of equipment – X-ray/ PACS/Mac Lab/istat/Avox
EMR - Cerner
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
ACLS/BLS
Experience in Cardiac Cath lab
1 year experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
RN for nursing positions
RCIS or ARRT for Tech positions
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Diagnostic/ Interventional heart caths
Structural heart procedures
Scrub Color/Attire - Surgical Green

Duties Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the EP Tech is to provide assistance with the patient care in the electrophysiology lab through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization and EP team.

  • Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues in the patient.
  • Execute any noninvasive course of action.
  • Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order.
  • Evaluate images by checking the quality of the image and the making sure that the area in question is included in the image.
  • Be familiar with the differences from a normal image and an abnormal image.
  • Communicate with the doctor the result of the image.
  • Assist physicians in the performance of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
  • Delivers quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
  • Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Job Description:
As a Travel CT Tech, you’ll perform high-quality computed tomography scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. You'll work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure optimal imaging and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and safety standards

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and accuracy

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment

  • Administer contrast materials when required

  • Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions

  • Maintain detailed patient records and imaging data

Requirements:

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required

  • Active state license (or eligibility) to practice as a CT Technologist

  • BLS certification required

  • Minimum 1 year of recent CT experience in a clinical or hospital setting

  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and contrast use

  • Experience with Siemens, GE, or Philips CT systems preferred
