The Academic Advisor supports student success by providing individualized academic advising to both undergraduate and, where applicable, graduate students. This role involves guiding students through degree planning, registration, and academic progress while helping them access campus resources and develop strategies to meet their academic and professional goals. POSITION SPECIFICS
The Eberly College of Science is seeking an Academic Advisor - Senior Professional to be part of an advising team focused on students in academic warning/suspension/recovery in the College and students pursuing the majors of Premedicine and Integrative Science in the Eberly College of Science. A background in science is desired. Experience with academic warning advising is not required but will be given preference. A background in science is desired. Experience with academic warning advising is not required but will be given preference. The successful candidate will have a strong background in academic advising with a proven track record and a commitment to serving diverse student populations. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in the College committed to providing support to students in academic difficulty. They will work closely with the Director of the Science Advising Center, the Directors of the Premedicine and Integrative Science majors and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Students to support the mission of academic recovery advising. We are seeking an individual who is committed to working with the advising team to provide high quality service to students and who will work to enhance the climate for the diverse student population in the College.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Occasional evening and weekend hours required for special event staffing. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
