Every Cure is seeking a mission-driven Research Fellow (industry Scientist-Scientist II equivalent) to evaluate, nominate, and advance high-potential drug repurposing opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President of Discovery, this role is critical to shaping our evidence-based strategy by rigorously assessing therapeutic potential, feasibility, and impact. The Research Fellow will work cross-functionally with disease experts, internal teams, and our Scientific Advisory Committee to bridge knowledge gaps and drive forward research plans encompassing lab experiments, real-world data analysis, clinical trials, and public dissemination efforts. While disease-area expertise is welcome, this individual must be a generalist by nature with a deep interest in better understanding a wide range of disease-relevant biology.
How you will make an impact:
- Evaluate Drug Repurposing Opportunities: Conduct in-depth reviews of potential drug repurposing candidates to assess therapeutic likelihood, feasibility, and impact, while identifying key knowledge gaps.
- Develop and Execute Strategic Advancement Plans: Design research plans, including laboratory experiments, real-world studies, and clinical trials to validate a repurposing opportunity and ensure patient impact.
- Collaborate with Experts, Stakeholders, and Research Organizations: Engage with disease specialists to gain insights, perform data analyses and meta-analyses, and develop approaches for evaluating drug repurposing opportunities. Coordinate sponsored research with commercial and academic organizations to advance a program.
- Contribute to Team and Organizational Goals: Mentor junior team members, collaborate with the Tech team to refine Every Cure's platform, and partner with the Scientific Advisory Board on key decisions.
- Disseminate Scientific Findings: Support the publication of research in peer-reviewed journals, present findings at scientific conferences, and contribute to grant proposal development.
What you will bring to the team:
- Education: Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in biomedical sciences with 35 years of relevant academic and/or professional experience.
- Experience: Strong foundation in human biology and/or pharmacology. Deep experience interpreting the quality of laboratory experiments, real-world data studies, and clinical trials. Proven ability to conduct rigorous analyses, synthesize complex data, and employ orthogonal thinking to guide research and reach decisions. Demonstrated capability of planning, contracting, and conducting successful research through third-party organizations (e.g., CROs). Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams and external experts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in designing and interpreting laboratory studies and real-world evidence research. Experience evaluating, selecting, and employing AI-enabled technologies to accelerate your research. Ability to assess and address knowledge gaps in drug repurposing opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.

The Majer lab investigates how endosome biology intersects with toll-like receptor signaling to maintain effective responses to microbial nucleic acids without triggering autoimmunity. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
The Predoctoral Research Fellow will provide analytical research support to a portfolio of studies conducted through the Center for Economic and Social Research at USC, which is working with Yale University on a body of applied microeconomic research projects on women's access to digital technology in India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Reporting to USC's Dr. Simone Schaner, Associate Professor (Research) of Economics, the Fellow will support Dr. Schaner and other researchers, along with Fellows and staff at Yale University and Inclusion Economics India, to design, pilot, test, and potentially scale promising interventions designed to empower women and digital actors and ensure digital public infrastructure and other digital policy is gender intentional. Strong candidates will have sound data and analytical skills and training in economics and applied econometrics. Successful candidates should be able to interact effectively with teams across different cultures and time zones, engage effectively with counterparts at all levels, support field activities with both implementation and data inputs, and support Dr. Schaner's work more broadly. The Fellow will be based at USC, with travel to India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Responsibilities- Working directly with Global South-based counterparts, support formative piloting work through contributing to questionnaires, developing appropriate protocols and quality checks, and participating in scoping activities to determine appropriate design of proposed studies
- Contribute to institutional human subjects (IRB) proposals and modifications, ensuring protocols proposed are appropriate and applied
- Scrape, process, and clean large administrative datasets from public websites
- Clean and process secondary datasets (e.g., household surveys) for analysis
- Participate in survey design and data collection activities, including designing and coding questionnaires and related forms for digital data collection, and setting up and running data quality checks for large-scale data collection activities
- Prepare appropriate documentation and guidelines for all data and field-related activities
- Contribute to pre-analysis plans, papers, and other written material, upon request
- Prepare literature reviews per request of senior researchers
- Draft policy briefs and presentations, presenting research evidence in a compelling and policy-forward format, and effectively representing the research to external stakeholders
- Contribute to regular reports and presentations for donor audiences
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of deliverables, as well as provide support to field staff as necessary

The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) is Stanford's thought leader for understanding the economic challenges, opportunities, and policies affecting people worldwide. For 40 years, SIEPR's mission has been to support research that informs economic policymaking while engaging future leaders and scholars.
The SIEPR Predoctoral Research Fellows Program offers post-baccalaureate individuals the opportunity to work full-time with one or two SIEPR faculty on research projects. Additionally, predoctoral research fellows ("predocs") participate in professional development activities and are eligible to enroll in one Stanford course per quarter. Through these experiences, SIEPR predocs expand their quantitative skill set, develop a better understanding of the research process, and learn how research influences policy decisions. The position is ideal for individuals planning to pursue a PhD and careers in economics, public policy, or related fields.
This predoc position will run from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. It is a fixed term position within the SIEPR Predoc program year. The position is eligible for one renewal in a consecutive second year based on programmatic need and funding.

The Systems Engineering Research Center/Acquisition Innovation Research Center (SERC/AIRC) at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking highly motivated senior thought leaders in the greater Washington D.C. area and in Hoboken, NJ, to join as an AIRC Research Fellow to lead advanced technical and policy research activities and ensure the successful execution of defense acquisition innovation projects. Appointments are typically for one year and renewable upon the availability of funds.
Activities will depend on the projects as assigned and may include the following:
- Lead the conceptual formulation, prototyping, and transitioning of innovative approaches for improving acquisition outcomes through the digital transformation of processes, data collection and governance, data sharing, and analysis.
- Assess statutes, regulations, policies, and guidance related to specific functions in the defense acquisition system, including effects on government and industry performance outcomes. Identify potential waivers or changes that could improve acquisition outcomes while assessing their costs, benefits, risks, side effects, and implications for government and industry.
