Job Description
**Access Control** personnel support the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in executing multiple Security Operations Services at MDA facilities in the United States.
**Responsibilities**
+ Control access to buildings and property, protect equipment and material and perform interior and exterior facility security inspections as directed.
+ Issue visitor badges in accordance with established policies by;
+ Ensuring visitors present a valid photo identification or passport, verifying their identity as part of the visitor access process.
+ Create temporary access badges for approved personnel accessing the MDA facilities
+ Interpret magnetometers and X-Ray checks according to procedures to ensure security is not compromised.
+ Ensure visitors secure items they are prohibited from bringing into the facility, including personal electronic devices.
+ Conduct security measures such as RAMs, ESMs, and Facility Access Inspections as directed by Security Operations
+ Escort on-site personnel to restricted areas. (SMDC Only).
+ Conduct Extra Security Measures (ESM) as needed.
+ Conduct interior/exterior checks of MDA facilities to verify security is not compromised, reporting all observed violations of MDA policies and procedures immediately upon discovery to the Shift Supervisor (SS) or Security Control Center (SCC).
+ Respond and assist medical, fire department, law enforcement, and other personnel at the direction of supervisors.
+ Provides the SS or SCC with on-the-spot assessment when responding to an emergency incident.
+ Respond to emergencies and perform CPR/AED/First Aid as needed.
+ Coordinate with the Security Operation Center to ensure all functional and operational procedures are followed during special events.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 1 year of security experience.
+ Minimum High School Diploma or GED
+ Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
+ Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%), and trained in Red Cross First Aid.

Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE), the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford University, supports the academic mission of the University by providing high-quality services to students and other members of the university community. The department has an annual operating budget of over $350M, operates 24/7/365, and oversees a $B asset portfolio comprising a 7 million sq. ft. physical plant across the campus. JOB PURPOSE:
Coordinate solutions, working independently, solely supporting the operations, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, upkeep, inventory tracking, and refurbishing activities related to building access systems. Manage the hardware, system functionality of electronic access systems and assist with and perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, new component part activation. Work closely with Locksmith team on electronic access installation planning - parts and labor needs. Assist with access systems preventive maintenance programs - development, planning, execution. Co- manage all aspects of key and core combination hierarchies, applications providing back-up coverage for these responsibilities when required and co-manage the maintenance of all building keying records. Working with master keying systems structure, keying hierarchy. Assist with keying system design and oversight of building keying projects and perform key audits to ensure keying system integrity. This is an individual contributor role.
CORE DUTIES:
· Serve as maintenance point of contact for facilities' electronic access systems issues in complex facilities as defined above; initiate work requests, monitor completion; suggest metrics, monitor and report related trends.
· Perform functional condition assessments on equipment, troubleshooting analyze results, identify and establish preventive maintenance plan coordinate, direct, inspect and approve contract work related to electronic access, third party vendors.
· Complete electronic access systems project coordination acting as a project coordinator/liaison; and overseeing and executing electronic access projects (limited to small, local projects), including their organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
· May oversee and supervise assigned staff engaged in supporting electronic access building systems.
· Assist with / provide back-up coverage:
o Maintain R&DE Key Database by assigning core marks with location information spaces
o Plan, control, keep all records for all R&DE key core pinning database to meet high level building security requirements
o Prepare and generate core combinations using Best Access manual calculations or by using Best Access Keystone program for re-keying work orders or projects
o Oversee keying or re-keying of all facilities, work with vendors, project managers, coordinators, building managers in re-keying rooms, buildings, during construction or renovation, or due to loss of master key, etc. including development of keying plan, developing cost estimates for keying projects, project schedule development, scheduling work with the vendor and building manager
o Performs project quality assurance function for facilities keying/re-key by testing new keys in all room cores before the opening of a facility.
o Provide technical directions for BU locksmith staff in core re-pinning and cutting keys.
o Manages, organizes, tracks, determines appropriate levels for all (thousands) keys, locks, cores, hardware inventory for all security operations.
o Orders and receives all keys, cores, security, and other hardware for stock and special projects.
o Prepares and assigns core and key packets for all student room/apartment re-keys.
o As a subject matter expert, performs construction/renovation project plan reviews for keying, access control requirements, lock, hardware needs. Maintain secured key vaults throughout R&DE.
o Manage projects, special studies, reports assigned.
o Work with the Stanford Fire Marshal Marshall and Stanford Facility lock shop in maintaining keys inside the Knox Boxes at all Housing and Dining facility locations for first responders.
o Provides directions to temporary support staff and vendors for special initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years related, demonstrated technical facilities management experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred:specific experience with electronic access hardware and troubleshooting.

Job Description
+ Observe, inspect and report construction site work to ensure the integrity of technical and physical security of multiple sites
+ Evaluate and develop physical, personnel and technical security practices/procedures for various levels of defense-in-depth security postures
+ Produce written reports or documents utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Tablet delivery systems to ensure activities/processes, investigations/anomalies/deficiencies, incidents, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 standards are delivered upon a weekly basis
+ Identify unauthorized materials with the use of physical searches, personnel searches, technological tools
+ Evaluate methods used to place technical penetrations or unauthorized materials by utilizing surveillance techniques, observing and reporting
+ Operate technical security devices, systems, and other monitoring devices proficiently to operate as an individual or with a team in OCONUS and CONUS mission environments
+ Fortitude to report suspicious behavior, security infractions, and correlations between site blueprints and ICD 705 standards to highlight anomalistic behavior
+ Please note, this position will not sponsor a clearance or upgrade
Required Qualifications:
+ Prior experience with Microsoft Office programs, report development, tablet mechanics, blueprint reading, construction projects (personal, residential and/or commercial)
+ Background in providing security practices such as: executive protection, physical security, personnel security, site security, surveillance
+ Have at least 2 years ACS experience
+ Required to work weekends, holidays, overtime and travel to different site locations as directed by ACS management
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prefer prior military (MOS to Include: MSG, Infantry, Technical Surveillance, Construction, Security Protection Details (WHCA, FAST, CQB) ability to read blueprints, develop, implement and follow physical and site security practices/ procedures
+ Construction knowledge - to include blueprint reading, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, hvac, concrete and finishing work
+ Comprehension of blueprint reading and ability to identify discrepancy in coordination with the ICD 705 to ensure SCIF construction is upheld to the highest standard
+ Familiarity with Auto CAD to understand the different phases of construction
+ OCONUS Experience / with current passport
+ Working knowledge of construction safety, construction project cycles, and common nomenclature of material
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
