In addition to the judicial oversight, Accountability Courts help with resources needed such as completion of educational goals, finding employment despite challenging backgrounds, and building a support system to restore individuals to their best possible level of functioning, while building the independence, resiliency and coping skills needed to live in their communities. The Accountability Court Case Manager keeps flexible hours in order to be available to individuals who might need help outside normal hours of operation and are available to respond rapidly to early signs of relapse or crisis. This position specifically works with individuals in the accountability courts to help navigate the legal system, meet requirements of the program, and work toward long term recovery. The Accountability Court Case Manager will be a critical part of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for delivering treatment services to participants of the Bartow County Accountability Court.Highland Rivers is currently seeking an Accountability Court Case Manager. Responsibilities include:
- Attending staffing and court reviews for the Accountability Court program with judge, coordinator and therapist;
- Assisting participants with scheduling appointments and adhering to accountability protocols
- Meeting with participants and constituents in the community to represent and promote the treatment court program.
- Assist individuals with service needs, developing strategies and supportive, social support networks and coordinating rehabilitation services as specified in the consumer's individual recovery plan.
- Partner with the individual and CORE services provider in the development of the individual service plan.
- Assist the individual with the transitioning between levels of care. Link and/or serve as advocate with other agencies to garner needed resources for consumers.
- Provides assistance and support in crisis situations.
- Provides assessment, monitoring, and assistance to individuals.
- Establishes professional and ethical relationships with individuals, families, and coworkers
- Provides direct service to individuals; completes all necessary paperwork according to policy; ensures individual meet eligibility criteria or refers to appropriate provider in the community.
- Manages a caseload by ensuring all services are authorized, chart paperwork is complete and current, and consumer charts are closed according to Policy & Procedure.
- Sees a caseload at the frequency defined in the service plan; documents attempt to contact individuals and ISP reviews; completes monthly caseload reports; track appointments and case management.

Summary of Position:
Marshall University's Office of Student Conduct is seeking candidates who are communicative, organized, and skilled applicants for a 20 hour a week graduate assistantship responsible for supporting the Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability's mission. This position is supervised by the Assistant Director of Student Advocacy and Accountability. The Student Accountability Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability is responsible for upholding university standards of student conduct and behavior. The appointee will achieve these objectives by creating developmental opportunities as well as guiding students through the process of resolving student conduct code violations.
Position Duties
* Support and implement the mission, vision, and goals of the University, Division of Student Affairs, and Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability;
* Provide information to students regarding the university's conduct process; inform students of their rights and responsibilities;
* Adjudicate student conduct code violations and follow up on sanction completion;
* Advocate for students in the formal hearing process;
* Assist students to problem solve and be successful in college by collaborating with other departments in order to link students to appropriate support services;
* Assist the Assistant Director with selection and training of student conduct board members;
* Report student issues through appropriate channels in a timely manner;
* Plan and implement programming and educational initiatives;
* Assist with department events and functions as needed; some evening and weekend work may be required;
Conditions of Employment
* Complete 20 hours of work per week.
* Maintain a minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0.
* The term of appointment is for the 2025-2026 academic year.
* Appointment is based on performance and is renewable upon evaluation, and consent of the Senior Director of Student Advocacy and Accountability.
* Assistantship will begin August 4, 2025 and run through May 15, 2026.
* Outside employment must be approved by the Assistant Director of Student Advocacy and Accountability. Approval will be based on position and academic performance; outside employment cannot interfere with GA responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
* Completion of bachelor's degree by first day of employment
* Enroll (or seeking admittance) in a Marshall University graduate program
* Maintain a 3.0 GPA
