The ideal candidate will lead efforts to transition outdated Microsoft Access-based tools into scalable, sustainable solutions using modern platforms such as Python, VBA, and the Microsoft Power Platform. While a working knowledge of Access is needed to understand and deconstruct existing processes, the emphasis is on building forward-looking automation and technology frameworks.
As a senior contributor, this role also provides ownership of key solutions, leads strategic initiatives, and mentors team members-supporting both technical innovation and business transformation. Success in this position means delivering tools that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enable smarter decision-making across the organization.

· Assess and unwind legacy Microsoft Access-based tools, transitioning them into scalable, modern platforms while ensuring continuity and compliance with accounting controls.
· Develop and maintain automation solutions using VBA applications, Python scripts and the Microsoft Power Platform to support integration, reporting, and process optimization.
· Provide maintenance and support for existing legacy solutions, while leading modernization and continuous improvement efforts.
· Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and measures (DAX), including optimized data models and integrations which enable actionable insights and streamlined reporting.
· Act as solution owner for assigned BI and automation tools, ensuring sustainability, security, and user adoption.
· Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new technologies and automation solutions across Accounting Services.
· Apply a strong understanding of Accounting/Payroll/Benefits environments to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs.
· Define and monitor KPIs to measure the impact and effectiveness of BI and automation solutions.
· Mentor, coach and provide guidance to junior developers and analysts, sharing expertise in BI, automation, and best practices.
· Present solutions and progress updates to the BIP team and broader audiences, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
· Lead end-to-end project planning and execution, including scope definition, goals and milestones, risks, and outcomes.
· Apply project management practices to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
· Stay current with emerging BI and automation technologies, recommending innovative approaches for future-state solutions.
· Engage with senior leaders to present solutions, influence decisions, and align technology initiatives with business strategy.
**Qualifications**
**Required**
Four-year degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
· Microsoft Access development experience.
· VBA coding experience.
· Python programming experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
