Accounting Tutor (Contract)
Location: Remote
Hours: Set Your Own Schedule
Pay: $25.00/hr

We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Accounting Tutors who are not only experts in Accounting but also able to teach a variety of math subjects from 6th grade through college level . As a Tutor with Learner Education, you’ll guide students through Accounting courses as well as broader math topics, helping them succeed academically while enjoying the flexibility of remote work and a schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years of professional tutoring or teaching experience
- At least 1 year of online tutoring experience
- Must have relevant teaching experience and familiarity with the U.S. curriculum
- Strong subject matter expertise in Math (6th Grade to College level)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Tutors with availability during peak hours (Monday-Thursday, 3-10 PM ET ) can connect with more students. Broader weekday and weekend availability is a plus!
- Fast, reliable internet connection
- A computer or laptop, a stylus pen (highly recommended for clear and efficient annotation), and headphones.
- Professional, quiet environment conducive to tutoring
- U.S.-based bank account and SSN

Nature & Purpose of Position:Fall 2025 Provide tutoring services to students enrolled in Intermediate Accounting I (ACCT 3313) or Intermediate Accounting II (ACCT 3314) or Federal Taxation Concepts (ACCT 3353) or Cost Accounting (ACCT 3347) courses. Will coordinate tutoring plans and topics with professors teaching the course. Tutoring services may include but are not limited to one-on-one sessions, group-study sessions, use of online study games, and creation of study guides. The ability to work with students in person and online is preferred.
Other Requirements for the Position:Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, plans and facilitates an extracurricular course centered around business and finance for middle and high school students.
Major Duties:
- Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development
- Plans and facilitates instructional sessions
- Develop a curriculum that covers a variety of business and finance topics including but not limited to the stock market, business current events, personal finance, and investments
- Models appropriate academic and social behaviors
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
- Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility.
- Knowledge of basic academic content and skills.
- Application of such knowledge and tools to help students access material.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction.
- Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.
Qualifications: Must possess a bachelor's degree and have teaching and/or tutoring experience, must have previously taught similar material to middle or high school aged students.
