UPMC is seeking a dedicated ACLS/CPR Instructor to support our life-saving education programs. This role (16 hours/week) works from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., typically weekdays with occasional flexibility needed for special classes.
**About the Role**
As an ACLS/CPR Instructor, you will coordinate and deliver credentialed courses and exams, including:
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
+ Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
+ First Aid
You will also oversee the administration of our American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site and manage all related Susquehanna Health programs, including scheduling volunteer instructors and maintaining accurate records.

+ Plan, coordinate, instruct, and follow up on AHA courses and other training programs.
+ Maintain accurate records for all courses, instructors, and participants.

High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
Graduate of an AMA/CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic Training Program preferred or Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a Bachelor Degree in the Health or Science field. 1 year of experience Preferred.
One year as a BCLS Instructor preferred.
One year as an ACLS Instructor preferred.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
BCLS Certification at the healthcare provider level.
Certification as a BCLS Instructor or obtain within six months of hire.
Certification as a BCLS Instructor Trainer and Regional Faculty or obtain within minimum time frames established by American Heart Associations. Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or obtain within six months of date of hire.
Successful Completion of an ACLS Provider Course with in the past two years or complete within six months of hire date.
