The experienced Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining a mixed Windows and Linux system environment. Ideal candidate should have an understanding of networking concepts, be capable of performing system patching and hardening, understand database management, be proficient with deployment automation tools as well as having experience providing end user support to the desktop level. Job Description:
The experienced Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining a mixed Windows and Linux system environment. Ideal candidate should have an understanding of networking concepts, be capable of performing system patching and hardening, understand database management, be proficient with deployment automation tools as well as having experience providing end user support to the desktop level. This person must be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to various levels of management, engineering, and security teams, as well as lead IT projects at the local level. Perform other IT duties as required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other system administrators for multiple disconnected networks.
- Configure and Maintain HBSS (Host Based Security System) requirements on all local Information Systems.
- Collaborate with the Cyber Intelligence group to provide remediation support for ACAS vulnerability scans within various Information System boundaries.
- Respond to support tickets & interface with users.
- Responsible for administration and maintenance of Windows servers and workstations.
- Install and configure Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor and tune system performance.
- Assist with RMF and ICD503 compliance as required by security.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 3 years of direct experience with Windows Server administration.
- Current/active Secret security clearance
- Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP or any DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher approved certification.
- Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, network interfaces, subnets).
- Good working knowledge of shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices (patch management, STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.).
- Familiarity with SCCM or other system management tools/frameworks.
- Knowledge of NetApp or other network storage solutions.
- Experience supporting backup solutions and disaster recovery.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills for interfacing with team members & users.
- Experience supporting end-user applications and engineering development concepts.
- Experience with HBSS and ACAS requirements in DISA governed boundaries.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements for New Jersey, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex Slack issues, including integrations, API failures, user permission conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
- Handle escalations from L1/L2 support teams and work closely with Slack enterprise support when required.

- Manage Zoom client settings and policies through the Zoom Admin Portal.
