Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager, and Radiology Director supervises all aspects of the radiology pre-authorization systems this includes: Insurance verification, scheduling and authorization for radiology procedures to include but not limited to ESIs, CT procedures, Ultrasound procedures, MRI exams, TIA, DBS, Pulsatile Tinnitus, Rapid Spine Access, 2nd Opinion Clinic, OP Breast procedure prep and coordination. The Radiology Administrative Coordinator will train and assist any secretaries/staff members with this process. Will provide a high standard of customer service to all customers, patients, their families, and physician offices. Represents the radiology department positively to physician offices to improve patient referrals and streamline processes to make it easier for patients to seek imaging services. Will assist in secretarial duties when needed and/or assigned. Radiology background preferred.

Will work with internal and external communication, customer service initiatives, works with staff on behalf of the patients, all modalities and locations of the Radiology department including but not limited to CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, IR, Diagnostic, and MRI. Serves as first line coordinator resource for other departments/customers. Will work in an honest manner, and works closely with department leadership and the Patient Access Systems and employees to provide information. Will provide a high standard of customer service to all customers, patients, their families, and physician offices. Represents the radiology department positively to physician offices to improve patient referrals and streamline processes to make it easier for patients to seek imaging services. Will assist in secretarial duties when needed and/or assigned. Radiology background preferred.
Will work with internal and external communication, customer service initiatives, works with staff on behalf of the patients, all modalities and locations of the Radiology department including but not limited to CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, IR, Diagnostic, and MRI. Serves as first line coordinator resource for other departments/customers. Will work in an honest manner, and works closely with department leadership and the Patient Access Systems and employees to provide information. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by Radiology Supervisor, Radiology Manager and Radiology Director.
Must be able to handle behavioral issues of patients and visitors while under highly stressful and volatile situations.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ BLS certification through AHA or ARC preferred
+ 2 year Associate's Degree preferred

  • Complete incident reports and documentation on resident's record.
