Summary

The research administration specialist will assist the pre-award team in preparing and submitting pre-award grant applications that includes developing timelines, drafting and preparing reports and ensuring the grants meet specific NIH or foundation guidelines. The pre-award team submits 430+ grant applications a year and brings in ~ 48 million in extramural funding on an annual basis.

Job Duties

  • Assists Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Faculty with submission of grants for external funding of their research projects.
  • Engages in continuous learning by attending relevant trainings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to stay current with evolving sponsor guidelines, institutional policies, and best practices in research administration.
  • Manages and monitors grant applications throughout the pre-award life cycle that includes reviewing sponsor requirements, interpreting guidelines, and providing recommendations to faculty.
  • Develops and prepares grant reports.
  • Contributes to develop and monitors grant project timelines.
  • Creates and manages faculty research portfolio (Active and Pending awards).
  • Manages any changes to the initial award which do not require a new proposal. Examples are a no-cost extension, change in personnel, scope revision, etc.
  • Creates sub-contracts and other relevant documents in collaboration with the Sponsored Programs Office.
  • Tracks and submits annual progress report and award close out requirements in collaboration with the Post-Award Finance Team.
  • Ensures that each application is in compliance with sponsor guidelines, the budget complies with college and sponsor requirements, and that all required sections of applications are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Creates grant related budgets for application submission.
  • Assists Faculty with finding funding opportunities via internal and external search engines.
  • Works on grant development, grant submission tracking, grant budget development, editing/reviewing grant content to ensure compliant with sponsor instructions, and routing grant application through the department and sponsored programs office for review.
  • Participates in and contributes to special projects and initiatives as assigned, supporting research goals (Funding Opportunity Newsletter).
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

You will report directly to the Director of Data Center and Network Infrastructure who is also responsible for global networking, cloud, and compute strategy and operations globally. This role will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will work with our partner vendors to manage and support the end-to-end management of our database technology landscape. You will be instrumental in driving the organization's technology strategies and projects, aligning them with our business objectives. Your leadership will ultimately enhance our competitive edge and operational efficiency. By mentoring and managing a team of IT professionals, you'll foster growth, development, and innovation within the organization. Your contributions will play a key role in shaping the future of technology at Honeywell and maintaining our position as a global technology leader.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Experience with administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, etc.)
+ Oversee and coordinate activities with Vendor to ensure SLAs and performance metrics are met.
+ Implement and manage database monitoring tools and alerting systems
+ Design and test disaster recovery and high availability strategies
+ Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and security hardening
+ Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements
+ Collaborate with application teams to support database-related development and deployment
+ Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and vendor interactions
+ Partner with Enterprise Architects on solution architecture for databases.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
+ 5+ years of experience in database administration with hands-on expertise in at least two major RDBMS platforms
+ Strong knowledge of database monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Redgate, Oracle Enterprise Manager)
+ Proven experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
+ Prior experience in infrastructure automation technologies
+ Strong vendor management skills & experience working across geographies

+ Prior experience with Rubrick backup solutions is a plus

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position **Land Administration - Land Analyst** through **October 10th, 2025** at **11:59 p.m.** **(Central Time).**
**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:**
+ Responsible for performing activities associated with the Land system of record (QLS) with a large emphasis on timely and accurate setup and maintenance of agreements submitted by the business units from leasing, unitization, joint development, land swaps, trades, acquisitions, consolidations, mergers, and divestitures. May perform large data extracts and analysis.
+ Understands integration between QLS and financial system. Partners with business units to ensure we are meeting payment and other agreement obligations. Works to maintain data integrity to enable accurate decision-making and reporting, including the 10K report on acreage.
+ May assist in QLS metrics and provide support for QLS SOX audits. Continue to develop expert knowledge in Land systems, data, and processes to identify and develop creative solutions to meet changing business needs and contribute to cross functional projects.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ Demonstrated ability to build strong constructive working relationships.
+ High level of organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to handle many high-priority tasks simultaneously.
+ Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
+ At least five years of experience in Land Administration Activities.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Working knowledge of calculation of working, net revenue, royalty and overriding interests, Oil and Gas Leases, Company owned Minerals, Easements, Joint Operating Agreements, Farmout/in Agreements, Exploration Agreements, Participation Agreements, Pooling Orders and Title Curative for one or more company core geographical areas.
+ Ability to analyze, recommend and/or perform a variety of system, ownership and Land agreement review, maintenance, and update activities.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing.
+ Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Management or Business.
+ Familiarity with Land systems and other systems including, but not limited to SAP, QGIS, QLS, and ThoughtTrace.
