They may classify and catalogue various types of media, conduct research and prepares summaries of findings to requesting personnel, identify and evaluate sources of information, manage these sources, and communicates their presence to all employees within the organization, and develop and maintain record retention/knowledge management policies, practices and procedures.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provide direct management oversight and leadership to the Document Control Team. Initiate consistent direction through review and updates to document control policies and procedures; provide liaison support to DOE-SR, NNSA along with initiatives necessary toward establishing accountability. Introduce process enhancements and engage in review of technology solutions in order to continue advancing the Document Control Programs for SRNS and the DOE Site. Work to ensure site-wide procedures are properly reviewed and updated establishing sound Document Control compliance for the DOE Site. 1. Responsibility for managing the site's Document Control Program which involves effective & detailed processing to allow procedural documents to be reviewed and validated from a quality control standpoint and then distributed back into Site areas for timely use by a variety of onsite Engineering Operations and Staff. 2. Responsible for developing and implementing policies and site procedures to aid with managing classified and unclassified documents in performance of plant operations and DOE directives. 3. Responsible for supporting development, modification and administration of information systems related to document control that support engineering and plant operations. 4. The Document Control Manager must interface with the IT Systems Development Team to incorporate modifications which enhance the system including testing and implementing upgrades. 5. Provide direction to all site divisions with matrix responsibility for directing the efforts of Document Control Staff to assure documents are reviewed and processed effectively prior to distribution into the field.
Required Qualifications
* Eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus three or more year of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
* Ability to comprehend Regulations and Standards as well as DOE Orders relating to controlled documentation within the engineering & construction disciplines. Must have the ability to effectively support the development and implementation of procedural requirements. Requires effective communication, planning, scheduling and organizational skills, and experience in administrative functions with strong emphasis on leadership. Must have ability to communicate at all levels and present ideas / programs in a logical, organized manner.

A business or technical degree with 10 years leadership/management experience in document control and/or records management processes related to the information management discipline. Provider Network Administration is responsible for the accurate and timely validation and maintenance of critical provider information on all claims and provider databases. Staff ensure adherence to business and system requirements of internal customers as it pertains to other provider network management areas, such as provider contracts.

College/Department Information
The Division of Sponsored Programs Administration and the Augusta University Research Institute serve as a central unit to coordinate and support Augusta University's Internal and External Sponsored Projects.
The Division aims to identify, support, and advance opportunities for research, training, teaching, and scholarly activities by managing the entire lifecycle of sponsored projects from proposal and grant development and submission to contract preparation, award management, and project close out management. The DSPA seeks to advance extramural support programs for the institution by providing administrative, informational, and logistical assistance to faculty and staff, while ensuring compliance with pertinent policies and regulations of the institution, extramural sponsors, and federal oversight agencies.
Job Summary
The position of Grant and Contract Officer assists principal investigators, project managers and faculty members by providing knowledge and expertise on proposal and budget preparation, contract and subcontracting negotiations, rules and regulations of state, federal and other sponsoring agencies. The position also serves as a continuing source of information concerning funding opportunities and as a liaison between investigators, administrators and the agency officials.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure proposals meet sponsor and institutional requirements before submission to Pre-Award leadership for final review.
Assist principal investigators (PIs), project managers, etc in preparing budgets, review of sponsor guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance, and administrative components of proposals.
Review cost-sharing commitments and institutional approvals.
Submit proposals through sponsor portals (e.g., Grants.gov, NSF research.gov, NIH eRA Commons).
Update proposal details (e.g., sponsor, award amount, project period, PI information) in database within two days after submission.
Track all proposals within assigned portfolio against the database for accuracy, including moving through workflow in a timely manner and verifying current status of Pending proposals.
Ensure sponsor-mandated reports (e.g., progress reports, final technical reports), prior approvals, NCEs, pre-award negotiations, and all other documentation is in the grant file.
Perform regular self-audits of portfolio projects and data validation to correct errors or inconsistencies in grant records.
Review and negotiate award terms and conditions with sponsors (federal, state, industry, and foundations), to include just in time type of requests.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies, sponsor regulations (e.g., 2 CFR 200 for federal awards), and legal requirements.
Facilitate execution of award agreements and subawards.
Review prior approval requests (e.g., changes in scope of work, PI effort changes, key personnel modifications).
Coordinate progress reports submission to sponsors.
Ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables per the grant agreement.
Assist with final project closeout requirements (e.g., invention disclosures, equipment disposition).
Assist with PI transfers (e.g., transferring awards to/from another institution).
Acting as a liaison between PIs, department administrators, and sponsors on non-financial matters.
Providing guidance on sponsor policy updates and institutional best practices.
Provide one-on-one training for faculty and staff on proposal development, compliance, and award management.
Keep the research community of your assigned portfolio informed of changes in federal and sponsor policies.
Participate in institutional, regional, and national workshops and/or webinars on research administration to stay current on rules and regulations and to maintain knowledge of emerging issues
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two years of experience.
OR
Associate degree from an accredited college or university with at least five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or a biomedical area or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience in preparation/review of biomedical proposals and administration of awarded programs including close-out.
Knowledge of the implementation of federal regulations governing research or related matters at a not-profit educational institution.
