ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track truck inventory, input vehicle specifications and picture sets, and add notes as units are sold in
- Perform weekly inventory reconciliation and provide documentation of any discrepancy
- Maintain sales logs and transfer logs, updating as needed
- Prepare all required DMV paperwork on Sold Units
- Ensure all documentation is kept in accordance with governing state laws
- Data Entry and Maintain all Deal folders
- Perform Warranty & Extended Warranty Filing and Registration
- Prepare, review for accuracy and submit/process all deals to Home office
- Prepare and request approval for all LPO's for Parts, Service, and Vendors
- File for claims on mis-builds and secondary freight
- Assist with tagging and checking in units as they arrive at dealership
- Track all current OEM sales promotions and programs
- Assist with all accounting schedules and provide back up on all items
- Assist with receiving and tracking of deposits on all sales
- Schedule sales department drivers & transport vendors to pickup & deliver sold/stock trucks
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the insurance and billing process.
Responsibilities- Reviews medical records to ensure that ICD-9 and CPT codes are used in accordance with coding and reimbursement guidelines.
- Ensures that charges for all services are captured.
- Posts office and hospital charges.
- Files claims to insurance companies.
- Sends statements to patients.
- Posts personal, insurance and collection agency payments.
- Follows-up with insurance companies regarding unpaid claims.
- Reviews credit balance accounts and generates refunds when appropriate.
- Reviews delinquent accounts and conducts collection activities including letters, phone calls and turn-over to collection agencies when appropriate.

Minimum Education:

This position is one of three positions responsible for controlling system wide bank transactions and UT cash-related transactions. It is responsible for detecting bank fraud quickly. It ensures all UT cash transactions are recorded and approved, and it coordinates the completion of 31 bank statement reconciliations monthly. This position ensures departments resolve their deposit discrepancies and record their receivables for returned checks, ACH's, credit cards. This position provides support for bank/cash activity to state auditors and consults with bank personnel concerning bank issues, positive pay rejects (for suspected fraud), ACH positive pay issues, deposit discrepancies, and stop payments on checks. Positive pay must be done daily, even when UT is closed. Therefore, this position must work during normal UT Holidays.
This position assists the assistant controller by continually monitoring specific accounts, processing outstanding check write-offs, and preparing month end and fiscal year end entries. It serves as a back-up for processing electronic tax payments for the administrative assistant. On behalf of the associate controller and accounts payable operations, this position monitors specific accounts daily to ensure accounts payable processes are operating correctly and problems are reported and quickly corrected.
This position oversees bursar's offices processing of deposits, electronic funds and bank cards for various campuses and institutes.
Responsibilities
Daily Banking Functions
- Import, download files from the First Tn Bank (FTB), SunTrust and USBank
- Manually post bank entries for the University
- Clearing - run jobs to match up bank and University transactions
- Prime connection - download credit card deposit information
- Download IRIS check register
- Export bank account ledgers
- Download FTB outstanding items monthly
- Verify and approve bank rejects daily to detect fraudulent checks and outgoing ACH fraud
- Confirm FTB's receipt of all checks issued and voided daily & resolve unconfirmed checks
- Verify bank activity processing with UT postings to ensure the postings
were made to the correct ledger bank account - Process SA's (journal entries) for GL corrections,
- Notify departments to record returned checks, ACH and credit card deposits
- Assist with month-end/ year-end closings
- Process tax vouchers (for all payrolls taxes)
- Resolve deposit discrepancies
- Test all IRIS banking transactions for annual support pack installation
- Pay on-line taxes (back-up)
- Check specific accounts payable accounts for balances other than zero; notify associate controller to correct IRIS processing
Qualifications
A high school diploma and 5+ years of experience with university deposits, bank statements, reconciling accounting transactions, managing electronic spreadsheets, and knowledge of fiscal policy is required. Oracle experience is desired.

The greatest volume of tax returns processed each month are the University's Tennessee state and local taxes that extend across the state. This position is responsible for processing the state and local tax returns as well as assist with amended returns, Amusement tax, Occupancy tax, and TV & Telecommunication tax returns. The Tax Analyst communicates and provides guidance to the
departments/locations regarding their monthly filings as well as prepares Oracle entries, and/or check requests that are reviewed by the Tax Manager.
In addition, this position supports the Tax Manager with internal and external sales tax audits and other projects at the request of the Tax Manager. This position will routinely collaborate and support responsibilities of other Tax Analysts in this department as well as in other departments, as assigned.
Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- University Sales & Use, Amusement, Occupancy, and TV & Telecommunications Tax Compliance (Collectively, "Sales Tax") for the state of Tennessee and the City of Knoxville:
- Gather information from departments across the state for monthly sales tax reporting.
- Requests physical checks and mails hard copies of amusement and occupancy tax returns each month.
- Review and communicate any errors and obtain corrected sales tax returns before submitting all sales tax returns for review by the Tax Manager.
- Prepares Oracle entry spreadsheets for Sales & Use and TV & Telecommunications Taxes that will be reviewed by Tax Manager.
- Keep excellent records of 90+ accounts for audit/controversy purposes.

Qualifications
An associates degree and two years accounting experience and related software. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent computer skills, and ability to work independently. The successful candidate must be able to withstand deadline pressure, handle multi-tasks, be a team player, and collaborate with others to create and communicate standardized tax procedures. Meeting internal deadlines are essential in this role so that the tax area of the Controller's Office is able to meet external deadlines.
