General Information:

The Math & Statistics Department is looking for two (2) student office assistants to join our team! We are a casual and welcoming department and seek students who are happy to help faculty/staff with scanning, copies, errands, and more. These students will also have the responsibility of cleaning blackboards and erasers approximately once a week. Work hours flexibility is helpful, and we will accommodate your class schedule. Average 10 hours per week with a maximum of 15 in special circumstances. The ideal employees would be available at least some of the following times: 8-9 Monday to Friday, and Friday afternoons.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as student office assistant for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. 2. Make copies/scans of syllabi, texts, handouts, etc., as requested by faculty and staff; collate and staple as necessary. 3. Run errands on campus, including material delivery and pick-up in other buildings. 4. Distribute incoming mail, notify recipients of packages, and answer the telephone. 5. Wipe down and clean blackboards, trays, and erasers in classrooms as requested. 6. File and organize, type up correspondence as requested. 7. Serve as the first point of contact for all office and department visitors. 9. Assist with department event preparation and cleanup as needed. 10. Provide timely notice of absences, and limit absences as much as possible.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: proof of financial aid for FWS eligibility work hours, enrolled in at least 6 academic credits.
PREFERRED: very reliable, flexible schedule, willing to learn, positive attitude, friendly, and some experience working with the public.

Conditions of Employment:

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.

How this Role Will Be Impactful

FARMER FOCUS brand of organic meat products has an opportunity for a Compliance Administrative. The successful candidate must have a "safety-first" and hands-on mindset, be a self-motivated partner supporting the Compliance team and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Assists the Compliance Specialist and the Compliance Manager with various administrative duties and certification programs. Maintains growers' files/records. Assists with onboarding and maintain exceptional relations with our growers.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Process grower flock records for accuracy, enter flock records into database, note any issues with records and report them to the Compliant Specialist. Assist with collecting information for corrective actions.
  • Mail weekly flock records to growers for upcoming flocks.
  • Print and mail Grower settlements upon approval.
  • Responsible for ensuring order confirmations, chick delivery invoices, and chick invoices are accurate that create new flock files.
  • Assist with Grower onboarding process and maintaining file system for Grower records.
  • Assist in preparation for audits and inspections to include reporting, pulling files and checking for accuracy.
  • Assist in organizing Grower meetings and events.
  • All other related duties as assigned by Management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Light work, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Regular travel throughout the school and effectively interact with students, staff, and community members. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; and subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
