We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Sr Manufacturing Director and Human Resources Department of a 3-plant operation. This role will be located in North East, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for hourly plant team members, providing support on policies, attendance, internal communications, orientation, and employee events. This role will also assist the HR department and a director-level leader with clerical duties, scheduling, travel, and confidential communications, ensuring all tasks align with company values and standards.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the initial and primary point of contact for hourly plant team members' questions and needs. Conveying basic information regarding policies and collective bargaining agreement rules.
+ Support the Human Resources Department with attendance tracking, posting of vacancies, internal communications, conducting orientation for new hires and temporary workers, supporting employee events, etc.
+ Performs clerical and secretarial duties in support of a director level employee and staff including the handling of sensitive details and assignments
+ Coordinates the director's schedule, expenses, meetings, travel, etc. Schedules appointments as needed
+ Monitors all incoming calls, messages and mail, handling as many responses as possible independently with a prescribed degree of discretion
+ Organizes, prioritizes and summarizes data, materials and information. Prepares reports and summaries and organizes data for the director's review
+ Responsible to conduct yourself a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
Qualifications:
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree or two year certificate in an administrative related field preferred
+ Years of Related Experience: Typically has 3 - 5 years of related experience
+ Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective communication skills. Internal customer service. PC skills including expertise with MS Office and Outlook. Basic understanding and knowledge of business unit structure, policies, products, etc. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a moderate degree of sensitivity for confidentiality. Ability to gather, organize and analyze data. Solid sense of priority, logic and objectivity.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base compensation range for this position is $18.90 - $33.00 per hour. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

As an Administrative Assistant at the Barber National Institute, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Family Focused Services program. • Collecting, scanning, and organizing receipts to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Entering new referrals, program data, and billing information into databases.
• Responding to calls and emails from families and support coordinators, and sending paper statements when needed.
• Preparing and mailing monthly newsletters and flyers for support groups like Sibsession and Time for Me.
• Updating program and support group information on the Barber National Institute website.
• Assisting with financial tasks such as balancing checking accounts for clients receiving payee services.
• Supporting team meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
• Participating in mail distribution, database updates, and special projects across the service line.
