Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and logistical support for technical and program operations related to Navy ship maintenance and repair programs. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with Navy data tools, and the ability to coordinate administrative functions for technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update program schedules, reports, and records.
Coordinate communications between technical staff, Navy personnel, and contractors.
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for correspondence and reporting.
Utilize Fleet Technical Support (formerly TAAS-Info), Business Objects, and MRQT for data entry and report generation.
Support meeting coordination, document preparation, and file management.
Track and process technical documentation and maintenance reports.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Fleet Technical Support (TAAS-Info), Business Objects, and MRQT.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Looking for an individual who has a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles, but also possesses excellent customer service skills. Applicant must be motivated to obtain knowledge in the water treatment industry as it relates to the products and services offered. Sales background beneficial as will be able to sell products and services to walk-in customers and via phone. Responsible for maintaining accurate customer account information, effectively communicating customer service requests and schedules with drivers, technicians, and management to achieve on-time delivery or service. Continuously improve efficiencies regarding accounting, record keeping, delivery routes, routine preventative maintenance programs, and customer service. Review aging analysis to maintain that customers are current. Apply payments to customer accounts and perform bank deposits. Monitor, review, and correct status of inventory and equipment. Applicant must have the flexibility and transportation means to work from the New Bern and Cape Carteret Branch offices periodically with advance notice.
