Key Responsibilities
- Be the go-to resource for SDSU's telecommuting program, coordinating agreements and helping resolve employee concerns.
- Provide critical support for employee relations matters, including performance, corrective actions, and exit data.
- Partner on labor relations initiatives by tracking grievances, assisting with union requests, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Support employees and applicants through the disability accommodations process, ensuring inclusivity and compliance.
- Manage sensitive, confidential fact-finding requests with accuracy, discretion, and care.
- Deliver excellent service while building trust and relationships across the university community.

Position Information
- Full-time, benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
- Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
- This position is eligible for telecommuting 1 day per week, following a training period during which on-site presence is required.

Education and Experience
A basic foundation of knowledge of the principles of organization, administration and management; and the ability to analyze and find solutions to problems, work independently, communicate effectively, and write clear and concise reports. Some positions may require a basic knowledge of research techniques and statistical methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree or professional training program specific to the position (e.g. Certified Public Accountant) and directly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
This would normally be demonstrated by a bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of Human Resources experience OR any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- General knowledge of organizational management and HR practices, with the ability to apply them to support effective operations.

Compensation :
Salary is based on your experience, education, and qualifications, within the department's budget and equity guidelines.
- The hiring salary is not expected to exceed $4,687/month.
