North 4 is a 30 bed Medical-Surgical Unit caring for orthopedic patients who have undergone; total knee and hip replacements, fractures, external fixators and ortho trauma. Thoracic patients requiring video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) procedure and esophagectomy. Bariatric patients who have undergone gastric bypass or gastric sleeve. Vascular patients, such as carotid endarterectomy (CEA), adnominal/aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs, bypass grafts, amputations and wound care.
We care for the colorectal patient population requiring colectomy, ileostomy and colostomy. Patients on the Plastics Service requiring mastectomy, breast reductions and muscle flaps. Surgical Oncology patients undergoing hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). We also care for General Surgery patients who have undergone splenectomy, cholecystectomy and appendectomy. Patient's pre and post kidney transplant, and soon to come liver transplant.

We care for the colorectal patient population requiring colectomy, ileostomy and colostomy. Patients on the Plastics Service requiring mastectomy, breast reductions and muscle flaps. Surgical Oncology patients undergoing hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). We also care for General Surgery patients who have undergone splenectomy, cholecystectomy and appendectomy. Patient’s pre and post kidney transplant, and soon to come liver transplant.
