The Ballast Water Management Engineer will provide engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support to U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army and Foreign Military Sales ships and vessels related to the following areas and systems / equipment: _Ballast Water Management (BWM) and Uniform National Discharge Standards (UNDS) Support._ Provide technical support in developing documentation and fleet awareness tools for BWM training requirements: develop training awareness briefs to current Navy training curriculum, incorporate BWM policy and Ballast Water Exchange Logging System (BWELS) procedures into Navy training requirements, assist in development of BWM training placards, handouts, briefs, media, and/or other ballast documentation, research ballast minicamp criteria, and develop online Navy training documentation to provide guidance with BWM practices. In addition, provide support in Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) technology integration, development of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), and BWTS technical documentation. The contractor shall also provide support in developing language for UNDS batch standards and policy.

Required Qualifications

As a Data Center Civil Engineer at AWS, you will lead Civil Engineering designs for Amazon Data Centers. - Review designs for site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, and utilities.
- Coordinate with internal and external architectural, structural, and MEP design engineers.
- Develop preliminary site layout concepts using Civil 3D, incorporating grading, utilities, and circulation patterns while maintaining flexibility for design evolution
- Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
- Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
- Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design for Data Centers and supporting infrastructure.
- Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects, including DCs and special program facilities.
- Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously. Foresee and manage internal Technical Program Manager's (TPM's) expectation regarding project-specific cost and schedules variables.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency
- Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction.

Basic Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License, or plan for achieving licensure within 12 months of start date.
- 3+ years of commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design experience.
