AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, experienced cardiovascular surgeon with aortic expertise to join our established team of surgeons located at AdventHealth Orlando. We have a full complement of nationally recognized core cardiac and Transplant / Assist Devices and Congenital Cardiac programs. These include coronary revascularization, a valve center of excellence, and TVT accredited structural heart programs. We are looking for this new surgeon with specialized skills to help create our Aortic Center of Excellence. Working with a multidisciplinary team including vascular surgery, cardiology, and our cardiothoracic surgeons would be essential to developing the program.

Requirements of the position:

General Summary:

The PA, under the supervision of the Physician who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

• Performs physical examinations of patients, evaluation and treatment of injuries or illnesses related to Neurotology, Head and Neck Surgery in the clinic and hospital setting

• 75% Rounding in the hospital, 25% first assist in OR/outpatient clinic

• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.

GENERAL SUMMARY : The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides physician leadership. Responsible for improving clinical outcomes for internally tracked performance improvement data and publicly reported outcomes. Overall responsibility for performance improvement, risk management, safety and clinical quality, continuing medical education, the medical staff office, medical school affiliation(s), and residency programs. The CMO serves as physician advisor to the Case Management staff and serves as physician liaison to promote appropriate utilization of resources by the medical staff. Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) assumes a pivotal role in providing physician leadership and enhancing clinical outcomes. The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an exceptional and dynamic, fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our program in Orlando, Florida. Ideal candidate would have several years of experience as well as specific interests in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, which will be in collaboration with our new, dedicated pediatric neuro oncologist and a plastics craniofacial surgeon respectively.

Our team includes support of two pediatric neurosurgeons with the support of three PA's who provide care on both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The hospital has eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64 slice intraoperative CT. As part of AdventHealth for Children, we have a dedicated 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. We also have Monteris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric epilepsy.
