The Analyst, Platform Activations role welcomes new self-service advertisers into the Retail Media+ platform ecosystem; The key goal of the position is manage relationships with self-service advertisers, including training and ongoing strategic advice; Additionally, this role will work across the Platform Solutions and Ad Ops teams to ensure that each of our platforms is optimized for ease of onboarding and provides an excellent customer service experience to our suppliers; Using discretion and independent judgment to make recommendations to suppliers on how best to maximize their investment in retail media at Home Depot

In this highly visible and client-facing role, you will work together with Business Development, Customer Success and Product to develop compelling data-driven insights that unlock growth opportunities for merchants, optimize campaign performance, and shape our CLO value proposition.
The successful candidate be a bridge between data and dealmaking - influencing revenue outcomes by helping merchants/advertisers understand the measurable impact of their spend and how CLO programs can drive incremental growth and return on advertising spend.
This role requires a strong focus on defining efficient growth opportunities, critical advertiser-specific nuances, an ability to lead advertiser prioritization and strategic account planning. Core to this is stakeholder management, clear communication, and data-drive perspectives.
Ideal candidates will have analytics or consulting backgrounds, experience directly working with card networks or transaction data and familiarity with CLO platforms affiliate marketing or bank loyalty ecosystems. Leadership experience is highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Act as the analytics lead in strategic merchant / advertiser conversations, providing pre-sales insights, performance forecasts and ROI modelling.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Applied Scientist who has technical expertise in information retrieval, Large Language Models (LLM), optimization algorithms, Online Advertising, and/or randomized experiments. In addition to having hands-on experience in building ML-based solutions, an ideal candidate should be able to create and articulate a customer-centric science vision, show willingness to continuously learn about new scientific approaches, and enjoy operating in startup-like environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead business, science and engineering strategy and roadmap for Sponsored Products Agentic Advertiser Guidance
- Drive alignment across teams for science, engineering, and product strategy to achieve business goals.
- Lead/guide scientists and engineers across teams to develop, test, launch and improve of science models designed to optimize the shopper experience and deliver long term value for Amazon and advertisers
- Develop state of the art experimental approaches and ML models.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
