**Your Opportunity**
The role of Project Engineer is to work collaboratively and interdependently and as a team member on a wide range of Community Development projects under the guidance of a Project Manager. Our Community Development team also works with and support projects from other disciplines in the local area and is part of a team that works on projects across the western US. A Civil Project Engineer will perform a variety of tasks which may include design analysis, calculations, preparation of exhibits, mentoring jr. staff, and preparation of construction documents. The projects that you will be assigned to may be broad, varied, and diverse in scope.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Serve as the technical lead for the project team responsible for preparing, grading, drainage, wet utility, street improvements, and other civil engineering design documents, as well as hydrology/hydraulic storm water modeling and hydraulic modeling of pipe networks.
+ Prepare and revise documentation for various project phases from feasibility analysis to construction close out.
+ Coordinate with geomatics team and obtain appropriate record data required to assemble complete and accurate base information
+ Prepare concept design alternatives considering site constraints and project objectives to evolve the project layout
+ Prepare three-dimensional models of civil systems and provide markups / direction for other project team engineers/designers.
+ Participate in coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
+ Prepare construction quantity estimates and basic opinion of cost analysis.
+ Assist with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
+ Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and construction documents.
+ Participate in constructability review.
+ Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
+ Lead effort for processing project documentation to approval and permit availability
+ Work with team to prioritize workload and schedule on multiple projects.
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Experience with land development projects in Ventura and/or Los Angeles county markets.
+ Requisite knowledge and application of agency and industry applicable codes.
+ General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
+ Strong knowledge of civil systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
+ Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.

The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to work for the Federal Aviation Administration Regional Office in El Segundo, CA.
**This position is located in El Segundo, CA.**
+ **Must be able to work onsite to the El Segundo, CA office. Alternate work schedule is a possibility such as 4/10 OR 9 hours days, off every other Friday with Manager / Customer approval.**

The Civil / Structural Engineer will review and update designs, drawings and conduct physical inspections required for the alteration, modernization or expansion of FAA facilities to support National Air Space (NAS) modernization projects.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Provide engineering inspection/site survey reports for the FAA Unmanned Infrastructure Sustainment program, which will primarily focus on communications towers and antennas, and the support shelter buildings. This may include freestanding or guyed antennas or towers, antenna anchors, foundations and roofing, and/or foundation and anchorage for various mechanical and electrical equipment.
+ Analyze existing drawings and provide recommendations to site- specific upgrades to the facility, shelter buildings, and support equipment.
+ Review existing drawings and perform design changes to include red-lines and as-built drawings.
+ Develop and coordinate engineering project scope, cost estimates, risk mitigation plans, project schedules, resource requirements, and project closeout documentation.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering** ( **with structural engineering emphasis** ) and 8+ years of prior relevant experience **OR** Masters in **Structural Engineering** with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
+ Engineering experience with structural design, construction techniques, and concrete foundations.
+ Proficiency with Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software.
+ Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder OR working in the USA with a temporary protected status (TPS) visa who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with No breaks OR leaving the country. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4)** to join our dynamic team in **El Segundo, California** .
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
+ Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
+ Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
+ Develops and establishes lead time requirements
+ Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
+ Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
+ Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
+ Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)
+ More than 3 years of experience working with space hardware
+ More than 3 years of experience working in ambiguous and fast changing environments
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
+ Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) using EVM (earned value management)
+ Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
+ Current DoD, U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
**Typical Education/Experience:**
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.
