The Director of Visual Art is a year-round leadership position overseeing visual arts education at Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Arts Camp. Reporting to the Provost, the Director provides visionary leadership for curriculum and programming, teaches classes during the academic year and summer, manages faculty and staff, and cultivates strong relationships with students, alumni, and donors. Responsibilities include faculty recruitment and development, admissions collaboration, guest artist engagement, gallery and facility management, and budget oversight. Essential Duties:

• Provide visionary leadership for visual art education at Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Arts Camp, aligning with institutional goals

• Recruit, hire, orient, and evaluate visual art faculty and staff, including the Richardson-Spica Fellow Artist-in-Residence program
