**What You Will Do** **:**
Join a high-performing team supporting important U.S. Air Force weapon system acquisition and sustainment programs. Collaborate with the government program office staff and other stakeholders to develop acquisition and sustainment strategies and plans. Assist the Government in milestone preparation across all stages/phases of the product lifecycle. Assist the Government in the engineering evaluation of prime/subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues, including evaluations of Advance Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contractor Change Proposals (CCPs), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Bulletins, and related documents.
Responsibilities may include:
+ Prepare/coordinate engineering analysis reports and draft acquisition planning documentation, including RFI/RFQ/RFP packages and required review boards.
+ Perform functions and review/produce documents necessary for engineering support, including technical evaluations, engineering studies, engineering reports/analyses, and airworthiness products.
+ Analyze equipment/software requirements, designs, integration, tests, and deficiencies, and recommend equipment/software deficiency solutions.
+ Participates in technical interchange
+ meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
**What You Will Need** **:**
+ Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ SIX (6) years related engineering experience; a Master's degree may be used in lieu of TWO (2) years' engineering experience

The annual salary range for this position is $118,000.00-$196,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Audit Experience

Certifications & Training

  • IAQG-sanctioned training and exam requirements fulfilled.

**Working at our Beavercreek Site** :
GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS's highest safety rating.
**Role Overview:**
+ Welds together metal components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, or manufacturing operations sheet (MOS), using Tig welding equipment.
+ Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse as specified. Starts power supply to produce electric current.
+ Manually guides torch along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.
+ Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
+ Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
+ Manually applies filler rod to supply weld metal. Cleans weld joint or workpiece. Prepares rework parts for welding.
+ Positions or clamps workpieces together or assembles them in a jig or fixture.
+ May tack assemblies together.
+ Will use a computer daily (checking email, viewing/downloading shop drawings and instructions)
**The Ideal Candidate:**
+ Will have the ability to perform the following:
+ Subtract, multiply and divide fractions, decimals and whole numbers
+ Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or graphic form
+ Apply learning and experience to deal with variables within specifications
+ Read safety rules in the use and maintenance of shop equipment.
+ Read related technical material and apply principles to daily operations (this includes reading and interpreting blueprints).
+ Accurately read and complete forms
+ Complete the Elano welding vision test (as a new hire and annually)
+ Use standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)
**Required Qualifications:**

+ Successful completion of a TIG Welding Training Course (formal program)
