+ Foundational knowledge of systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or physics methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.
+ Must have sustained excellence in academic performance.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience having applied systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or physics learning to an internship, research or lab setting.
+ Proficiency using systems engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or physics methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.

F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor assigned to NAS Patuxent River's F-35 Integrated Test Force (ITF). Provides full spectrum leadership to the ITF's Flight Test Maintenance department represented personnel deployed to NAS Patuxent River.
Provides close coordination directly with the ITF's Maintenance Managers for all maintenance activities associated with the leadership and management of personnel and resources. Specifically, this includes providing technical direction, personnel actions such as performance recognition, employee recruitment, staffing, and disciplinary actions for hourly personnel.
Scope of responsibilities include delivering detailed aircraft maintenance planning for F-35 aircraft and support equipment.
- Manages general services, repairs, and overhauls of F-35 aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
- Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced for the Development Foundation Contract (DFC).
- Directs periodic inspections and general repairs or modifications requiring replacement and assembly of parts. Provides technical assistance as required.
- Creates and assign work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
- Assists in signing the aircraft exceptional release off and verifying aircraft are safe for flight.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Must be deployable to US Naval vessels and throughout the continental US.
- Must be flexible to support 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts and weekend duty.

Overview
This requisition is contingent upon L3Harris winning the Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Services in Support of Presidential Helicopter contract.
The anticipated date of Contract Award is 2025 with an anticipated start date of Fall/Winter 2025.
The location for the performance of this program is Patuxent River, MD. Employee must be located on site.
Description:
+ Focal point for effectively planning, scheduling and supporting production and on-time delivery of VH-92 Planned Maintenance Interval (PMIs) including organizational and depot level inspection and repair.
+ Maintains operational communication with the government customer Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team (IPT), Fleet Support Team (FST), HMX-1 and others as necessary to provide detail planning oversight to ensure proactive efficient use and scheduling of resources and material.
+ Supports comprehensive analyses across the full spectrum of process design interface and maintenance planning. Provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements (e.g. manpower, material, equipment, technical data, facilities, packaging, handling, storage and transpoortation) in support of aircraft, training, and/or SE programs.
+ Manages scheduled and unscheduled inspections/preventive maintenance of aircraft, engines, and assigned material.Provides support for FST with reliability and maintainability data, as well as resource requirements determination for a number of Logistics elements throughout the life cycle of the aircraft, system or equipment.
+ Provides logistics, supportability, level of repair, and operational analyses to include maintenance, material management, reliability, and cost data.
+ Provides recommendations for continuous maintenance process improvements and sustainment strategies that may involve changes to the PMI Specification. Evaluates Engineering Change Proposals and other technical data for efficient incorporation during PMI and/or other major maintenance events.
+ Responsible for developing, implementation and execution of quality maintenance inspections, maintenance programs and procedures.Communicates within and outside of the organization, to include customers and vendors, to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
+ Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
+ Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
+ Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area. May conduct briefings with leaders.
+ Implements strategic goals established by leadership. Establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results (e.g., less than 1 year).
+ Provides input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification , or a
+ Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
+ In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
+ Demonstrated experience with aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
+ Demonstrated experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
Additional Requirements:
+ Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance in accordance with the NISPOM codifying 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM Rule.
+ Must be able to satisfy personnel security requirements for Yankee White access in accordance with the DoD Directive (Presidential Support Program) and DoD Instruction (Selection of DoD Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities).
+ A government requisite pre-screening checklist will be requested from all applicants being considered.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $94,000 MIN - $174,000 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
