Aerospace Production Training Coordinator
Mojave, CA
Are you a Production Operator who is passionate about what you do and ready to take the next step in your career? PPG Aerospace is looking to add a motivated, dedicated, and passionate individual to our Training and Development team!
As an Aerospace Production Training Coordinator , you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and tracking training programs at a strategic local level. This position involves directing the design, scheduling, and implementation of comprehensive training programs, including technical, operations, and production. You will be responsible for enhancing existing training programs and developing innovative training techniques to ensure world-class training standards.
In this role you will work on-site at our Mojave, CA facility and report directly to the Operations Learning Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support training objectives of Aerospace Learning, company sites, and employees as requested.
- Program Development: Improve the current onboarding and on-the-job training programs to streamline processes and reduce the time from initial contact to effective production levels.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a spirit of cooperation and support within the training team and with the departments it supports.
- Training Coordination: Complete training and onboarding plans by coordinating with peers to achieve work results, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report training program results routinely.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain quality service by establishing and upholding organizational standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the safe use of equipment and resources and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Performance Support: Assist production areas in resolving process and employee performance issues through training and education by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training sessions, reviewing professional publications, and benchmarking best practices in training and onboarding to lead in the integration of new processes.
- Assist in site audit process.
- Special Projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- One (1) year or more previous Aerospace Production / Industrial Environment experience required.
- Positive attitude and ability to remain flexible and easily adapt to changing situation is a must.
- Previous Training experience is a plus but not required.

The Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician will be responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modifications on the carrier aircraft airframe and systems. The candidate should thrive in a high paced environment and be comfortable with the design, development, and test life cycle of rapid aerospace R&D. As Stratolaunch expands our program base this person may be tasked to other, new projects and in the development of vehicles requiring the skills, knowledge and abilities utilized on this current project.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fabrication, installation, testing and maintenance of carrier aircraft systems and components including:

Fuel systems and components

Hydraulic systems and components

Pneumatic systems and components

Airframe and aircraft structures

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations on aircraft to include inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting activities

Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify any issues or potential problems

Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilot or crew
-
Perform all line maintenance functions to include preflight, post flight, launch, and recovery of aircraft
-
Ensure proper and timely entry of maintenance performed in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL)
-
Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
-
Maintain carrier aircraft in accordance with work instructions, the inspection plan and adhere to established standards such as AC 43-13, technical manuals, blueprints, or sketches for acceptable systems installation methods, techniques, and practices
-
Operate related ground handling equipment utilized to service the aircraft
-
Able to work in confined spaces or heights greater than 25 feet as required
-
Able to effectively communicate and partner with Engineering
QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years' experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance preferred, Including multiple of the following:

Experience with line maintenance functions to include preflight, post flight, launch, and recovery of aircraft
